Posted by Plock Wow, dated thread. New to the site, not new to the experience. Anyone else in Iowa around here? Not a lot of places left after they cleared out from the flood, but I still have hit a few older commercial and industrial locations. Hit me up if you're looking for someone to explore with! -Plock

Hey everyone, My name is Ethan; I am from Danville, Virginia. I am 17 and I have been dabbling around in the world of urban exploration with a couple friends for a year or so now. There are lots of abandoned structures here, but there is not much of an urban exploration scene. I was hoping to expand my horizons a little bit by joining this forum. Hopefully I will see some of you guys around.

Howdy, guys! My name is JohnnyCanuck, and I'm from an obvious country. I'm staying with my girlfriend in the states for the winter, and luckily have found her hometown to be an industrial wasteland. Hopefully, I can get a full membership and see all that there is out there on the database before I return to TimHortonsland. Happy EU'ing!

Hey guys, semi-experienced explorer here. Turned 17 recently, been going at urbex for over a year now. Used to mess around in central IL but family had to move out to NC a while back. Left behind my urbex partner so I haven't had a chance to do anything since we've moved. Lots of great stuff where I was at, one small town in particular an hour from where I live had a huge abandoned schoolhouse we visited a couple times. He's coming up to visit sometime in March so I'm hoping to have full acct by then. We're getting our 3GB of photos cleaned up and ready post as I type this so I'll have a good bit to share in the next couple of days.

Hey All, I'm so glad I found this group. I've been interested in exploration ever since I was a kid. I grew up in Wisconsin, out in the country. My dad used to take my brothers and I for hikes to old abandoned farmhouses, where he would dig for antique bottles. I'm 33 now, and live in Los Angeles. I have never outgrown my love for hiking and abandoned places. I am excited to be able to learn of new opportunities for urban exploration through this group. Last month I drove to Downey and checked out the Rancho Los Amigos County Poor Farm, but didn't manage to get inside any of the buildings because they were very well boarded up and there were too many people passing by. On my way back from Yosemite last year a friend and I stopped and checked out an old abandoned restaurant. It was really cool! I'll definitely post some pics on here when I get the chance. If anyone knows of some places in or near LA that you'd recommend checking out, please let me know! Jim

Hey all! My name is Crystal, I live in Southeast Alabama- a very beautiful place to explore- we are not on shortage of abandonment and 98% of these places have never been explored, however surprisingly, around here security is pretty tight on all these places so exploring is slow going because you have to be very cautious. I became interested in this when I was in high school and did research on urban abandonment in a sociology class. I actually did my college thesis on Urban abandonment and natural vs. unnatural abandonment I am that fascinated by urban decay. I did not know until about a week/two weeks ago that it had an official name and that people actually made a hobby of this! I can not wait to start my journey into this hobby as soon as I can find others in my area interested in doing this with me, until then I am eager to learn from those experienced on this forum!

Hello, I am Will. I'm from North Texas, I listen to hardcore, metal, and some dadrock among other things. I've always been a fan of exploration (growing up in the country and spending hours at a time exploring forests) I'm a self taught amateur photographer/videographer. I'm obsessed with outdated media such as Hi8/VHS.

Hola, Im interested in meeting other members to explore with, gaining access to the databases, and showing off my war chest of sweet spots. I live and explore in Los Angeles. I can hop a fence faster than most can open a door. I have rope gear and night gear. I like to think I have serious bike skills, nerves of steel, an iron will and amazing cell phone photography skills. Mateoyobi Bikeski

I apparently made an account here and never bothered to post. Well! I'm Noel, I'm from the SF Bay Area, and I've been itching to explore again or at least read about other people's shenanigans until I find new people to do it with. For almost a year I was exploring allegedly haunted locations around northern CA (Most of which were also abandoned.) with similarly minded friends and I have a ton of stories. Feel free to ask me for recommendations on where to go for "ghost hunting" if you're in the area! If only I had bothered to do mine during hours less spooky and better for photographing. Anyway, this site is awesome and I'm glad to see so many people are just as interested in abandoned and/or creepy places as me.

Hi! I'm Sara and while I am new to urbex it is something that has always interested me and instead of waiting for someone to whisk me away on an urbex adventure I've decided to do it myself. I hope I can get some good photographs and locations from my region and can't wait to continue my exploring. (so far I have only explored three places, but would like to expand that)
