Hi I'm Dan but you can call me Danny. I just recently discovered that what I'd been doing for years (accessing abandoned places for exploration) was known as UE. I live in Boston and want to explore some places there so if anyone would like a fearless partner let me know.

Hello Friends! I'm Neon from the Denver Metro area. I have always loved old abandoned things. i discovered my passion for what I now know is Urban Exploration when I lived in Upstate NY for a few years. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera that was nice enough to take with me anywhere until I got back out to Colorado. A few weeks ago a good friend of mine shared her passion for UE with me. And my renewed passion led me here! Sense moving back to Colorado, I have been a bit lost for places to explore. They don't seem as apparent or numerous as in Washington County NY. I hope you will be seeing me around the forum and at as many Colorado adventures as I can make. Excited to meet you all!

Yo, I have been lurking here for some time and finally am making an account. I moved to Austin recently and am hoping to get into urban exploration here. I've seen some derelict properties around but haven't really checked any out yet. I've heard most abandoned buildings in this city are inhabited. There don't seem to be all that many. Plenty of construction sites and scaffolding to climb, though, if you're into that. I did some roofs in college around campus and that is the extent of my urbex experience. I grew up in the woods so that's what I explored instead.

Hey there UER! I am an explorer from MSP, and I have always had a passion for exploring. For a long while, I never really knew anyone that wanted to share that passion with me until recently. I have now gotten a few of my friends to start going with me, so I figured I would come on here to see if anyone else would ever want to check some places out. I have some really crappy pictures that I can upload now that I took with my phone, but I am planning on getting an actual camera for some better pics. Anyways, let me know sometime if any of you are interested in checking out some new places!

Hey, My name is Dan, I live in Denver metro. I've been into exploration for quite some time. I have seen some great sites (urban or otherwise) all along the US west coast, most of which I don't have pictures for, but plenty of stories. I've been aware of this site for about 6 years, but didn't think I'd really fit in since my approach is a bit different. I usually seek out sites BECAUSE of security, places that can get me into a lot of trouble. Maybe it's immature, but that aspect is what excites me. As a result, I usually visit sites solo and with as little equipment as possible. Denver is pretty great right now because there's plenty of new construction. But I would like to try out some of the more casual exploration stuff, which is why I joined. I figured, "I have a lot of really great stories from the past 15 years, these people would probably love it, and I would love to find some casual places to take pictures and bring friends." So... Hello UER!

Hi My name's Inga and I'm from the San Diego area. I've had my account for almost a year now but haven't posted until recently. I'm an aspiring photographer with an obsession for the thrills and chills of UE… especially on the east coast, when I make it out there. I'm glad to know there is this community of people who share the same interest and I want to get more involved and make some friends doing it! Looking forward to talking on here

Hi. I'm Will. I'm a transplant to San Antonio. I've been here about 5 years, and I recently began to take photography more seriously as part of freelance graphic design work. I've always loved photo journals of abandoned places, and I'm interested in exploring sites in the San Antonio and Austin areas (and anywhere in between). I'm eager to learn, and I'm hoping that this site might be a good way to meet someone who doesn't mind showing me the way. I know how to shut up and listen. Nice to meet everyone, and safe exploring. W

Howdy friends! My name's Kate and I'm an amateur photographer from the Cleveland, Ohio area! Here's my story: I'm 28 and new to urban exploration. I've always been fascinated by the beauty and desolation of abandoned properties. I started my journey years ago at an abandoned trailer park that my dad and mom had once frequented. I loved the solace and eerie quiet the place brought. I returned year after year to photograph all the new things I found. Slowly but surely, vandals destroyed the property. I became a huge fan of capturing abandoned properties for the preservation of the way things were before they were destroyed. Up until this past year, I had only visited a few sites as I was well over 400 lbs and it was difficult to get into and out of places quickly. Not to mention the climbing and general physicality that UrbEx requires. I lost over 200 lbs and became much more daring in my exploits! I'm lucky to have a supportive and equally as interested in photography boyfriend as well. He's 6'7" and very intimidating, hence why we haven't run into too many issues when photographing in east Cleveland!! I'm looking forward to sharing lost of my photos, locations, and planning some meetups with local and visiting UrbEx-ers! Please feel free to message me if you're planning on going out on location in Cleveland and would like a couple more people for safety and friendship!! I love meeting new people and making new friends!!!1.

Hello World! I'm a student going to school in Albuquerque, New Mexico but return home to Colorado in the off season. Also, online here I'm going by Delta. I am a curious person and am currently in the process of beginning my urban exploration experience, starting with rooftops. I enjoy problem solving and being somewhere few others have been. However, before all that I am a planner. I could be just as happy organizing the team exploring, coordinating the cover, and monitoring ways out. To quote Hannibal from "The A Team", "I love it when a plan comes together." I'm also fond of the system this site has set up for trying to keep out those with intentions not aligned with the site. Using this web of trust (recommendations) kind of system and contributing seems like it would help everyone achieve their goals. Happy hunting, Delta

Greetings. I'm J, aka AlienCG. I've had a long standing fascination with urban exploration and have recently had the chance to do a lot more of it. I'm born and raised in the Cleveland area and still live here. My girlfriend is ArcanaDagger on the forum and we've hit quite a few places together. I look forward to becoming a part of this community now that I'm able to post.

Hi! I'm a student from the US Northeast area currently in Paris for several months, and I've become interested in urbex over the course of the past year. I'm a big fan of abandoned railroads and industrial areas, and so far I've explored a number of old track lines around Boston and NYC. I'm very interested in finding some partners for exploration, as I've been hesitant to do buildings solo with relatively little experience. I plan to look into possibilities around Paris within the coming weeks, as well as post some of my pictures from this year.

Hey y'all, most people call me Ace, and I guess I've gotten into urban exploration. Born and raised in the Rochester (New York) area, and still lives here. I guess it started when I took an interest in the local history, and then I needed something to do on weekends. So I invested in a respirator, gathered a small group of trustworthy friends, spent a day on Google, and then we found ourselves standing in a dark and dusty tunnel with flashlights and respirators scaring some poor guy that we had run into. (Two of us are over 6 ft and one's only 5'10" but has a full-face respirator...unfortunately leaving me as the shortest of the group, but the one with the best camera) There's still a lot of ground to cover in this city, but we've all been enjoying it so far and have been looking forward to the next strange building I find.
I look forward to talking with y'all, and exploring more of these insane places. -Ace

Hey UER, I'm recently new to exploring. I have a few posts but just haven't gotten around to introducing myself. I'm in the MSP area exploring with one other person who is always willing to go out and a few others who tag along here and there. I'm interested in getting to know some of the local folks. We've been to quite a few places over the last few months: - Mile's Cave - East Kittsondale - West Kittsondale - Satan's and Santa's Cave - Drake St. Drain - Hamm's Brewery Went to the Tunnel of Terror entrance and found out that we just can't have nice things, because ungrateful kids have to ruin it for everyone. PM me if you want to explore, we've only just begun!

Hello, screen name's Aran. I'm fairly new to Urbex, with my first building about six months back. I primarily explore buildings, but am looking into the local storm sewer system as well. So far I have multiple visits to two buildings under my belt, and leads on another six. Old newspapers, city archives, historical society records Google Maps, and so on tend to be a great resource for me, as does just driving around town. I usually go solo or with a few friends, and am experimenting with camera settings to find the best one for low lighting. The two buildings I have visited are an abandoned warehouse slated for renovation (I got the pics while I still could!) and an old landscaping business (I still remember when that place was open.) With Autumn comes a busier schedule, but I still try to get out when I can. Also, still following up on more leads on various places. Anyway, nice to meet you all.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

Hello, I've had this account for a while but haven't really done much with it. I am Going to college in Manhattan and would love to be able to see all the cool UE opportunities the city has to offer (before they get gentrified of course). If anyone is looking for someone to explore with hit me up. I rock climb so I am pretty good at getting to those hard to access areas and I'm not particularly shy about the whole trespassing thing (though tbh the NYPD does scare the hell out of me). Anyway, excited to actually become active on this site!
