What's up what's up, I'm Austin from California, based in the bay area. I love urbex, but I don't get out much due to school and such, but I am extremely familiar with the Lamorinda area where I live, and I know just about everything there is to know about here. I consider myself more of a drainer, but I'll do just about anything. I'm a music major, and also an artist. I am a graffiti writer, however, I am one with morals and respect, as you'll learn if you so desire to get to know me. I'm not much of a computer person, but I'm here because I was hoping to learn some new locations and meet some more people with similar interests as me, so hit me up. Ask away if yall got any questions.

Hello everybody! I'm also from British Columbia. I did a little bit of exploring while I was living in Nova Scotia, but haven't done any since moving here. Looking to get out and about to see what the area offers.

Been lurking this forum for years now I think, thought it was about time I joined lol.

Hi! I'm Amanda, I'm from Sacramento, California.
I'm 18, and I adore UrbEx and photography. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to do any exploring yet, and am still saving up for a nice camera to get good pictures. But I'm loving finding good places in California to go!
I discovered UrbEx about 3 or 4 years ago. I stumbled upon some pictures of an abandoned farmhouse, and they were really pretty. I was surprised that a rotting building could be so pretty, and I found myself imagining what it looked like and who lived there back in its heyday. I love the stories behind these buildings.

A little about me- I love to sing. That's what I do. I've been doing it since I was 5, and have been in choirs for just as long.
I'm currently in a relationship with my love, and have been for 5 months, after waiting 2 years for him to ask me out. He's my best friend. (:

Next year I'm going to community college to get my general ed done, then I'll transfer to either Sac State or UC Davis to get my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I want to be an OB nurse, or maybe med/surg. (:
I hope to get married around 24, and have my first little baby by 30. (:

So that's me! I'm super excited to keep looking around here!! I hope people really try to update some of these locations if they visit though, because some of them haven't been updated since before 2006 lol.

Hey everyone,

The names Kyle and this seems to be a popular page for people from British Columbia! I'm in the Vancouver area and have been on this site before but didn't make an account before this. I got interested in UE about a year ago but spent it just looking up/gathering equipment before trying anything but now I'm gonna start getting some pictures :)

I've already got a trip up to Stanley park planned and I've also got my eye on this old factory down the street from me.

Hello, all! I'm Kat. I'm 22 and currently reside in Savannah, GA. I made this account last June but I totally forgot about this website until today because there was a waiting period to post!

I haven't really done any kind of "real" exploring, but I do have a tendency to wander as close as I can to things without putting myself into any real danger. You know, walking around the perimeters of abandoned buildings, ducking inside if there's an obvious opening and no one is around, that sort of thing.

I'm actually a photography student, so part of my fascination with urban exploring stems from photographs that I've seen of urban ruins. And part of it is just the thrill of finding something cool.

Savannah is fascinating to me because there are just so many abandoned buildings. And the tunnel system underneath the city is interesting to me, too.

I already introduced myself in a local section of the forums, guess I should post here too. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I've only been to one location so far, an abandoned factory that my friends and I have explored quite a few times (it's huge, so it's taken multiple trips just to map it all out). Hoping to share photos and stories from this place on here, read about others' explorations, and hopefully find some more spots to check out for myself.

Hey all. My name is Mike and I'm new to Urban Exploration. I'm in the Charlotte NC region.

I've always had an interest in old industrial buildings. My background is in Occupational Safety and Environmental Engineering, so naturally I'm fascinated by the way old industries managed (or mismanaged) these aspects of industrial life in days past.

I'm a horrible photographer, so don't expect beautifully Photo Shopped and artistic shots from me. Expect a lot of pictures focused on sprinkler systems, old safety signs, old machinery, machine guarding (or lack there-of) and waste storage practices, plus anything striking I happen to find along the way.

Be safe out there!

Hey guys, new member from Wisconsin here. I've been doing very light/easy urban exploring for many years now. My interest has recently been reignited and I'm hoping to get out more often. I'm not going to be the guy you see free climbing cranes or rappelling down smoke stacks, but I would like to work towards some more adventurous aspects of urbexing.

Like many of you I'm a photographer with an appreciation for architecture, both new and old with an emphasis on masonry industrial buildings. I'm hoping to use this site to learn tips on safety, photography, what to look for in a site, and of course just meeting people with similar interests.

Hey everybody, I'm James. I live in Brampton, ON. A few years ago my friends and I stumbled upon a couple little places inside of a park nearby, and ever since I've loved the idea of it. Originally, and optimally, I have imagined a claim on places my friends and I have found, and I have taken a souvenir or two. Luckily, at no point have I ever taken something important, nor have I ever been inside an abandoned building in my travels. Of course, after learning of this community and the rules in place, I will be following strictly the ethics of UrbEx.

Hey all. I created an account back in 2010, but life got busy and I completely forgot about this forum. I only remembered, as I received an invite for a Houston area meetup (which I will do my best to attend). I live in the Greater Houston area, and have always loved exploring and seeing new things. I am a complete newbie to UE, but am eager to learn. I will try to get my son excited about this as well. I know that he really has what it takes to enjoy UE. I am first aid certified, a Search and Rescue volunteer, and amateur radio operator. I like long walks on the beach with the moon reflecting of the waves... Oh wait.. this isn't a personal ad. However, I do have skills that could be extremely useful while exploring.

Anyways I hope to learn a lot and meet cool people with whom to go exploring. Thanks for having me.

Hey I'm Momma-Razzi... a nik name given to me by my hubs cuz I'm always behind my camera.... I started exploring back in 1993 but have never been a member of any groups or sites until now. In 05 I started a family and also started being more cautious with exploring... funny how kids do that to you... Now I am beginning to get back out there again... Loving all the new photo opps of that beautiful urban decay. Look forward to being a contributing member to the UE community

Hello!

I started messing around with UE a few weeks ago, hopping around the prison farm in GA as well as the Pullman Yard. I've been driving around for a while now, looking for new places to hit up, with little luck.

I think that might change soon, though. I'm not stopping anytime soon.

I've already made a few posts, but I'll quickly say "Hi," and mention how exited I am to have actually found other people that like this stuff. I was beginning to think I was just crazy.
My name is Dee and I'm from the Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) area. I also spend a lot of time in the central California (Monterey/Carmel) area.
I started getting into the urbex stuff around 2010 when I discovered many hidden gems en route to California from Texas for a semester of photo classes. I stumbled across many fascinating places during my 6 month stay out there, but never really put a name or description to my activities, I was just looking for interesting stuff. Looking back, I'm amazed at the great locations and incredibly lucky finds that I was blessed with. I guess I got hooked.
More recently, I've been learning the art of light painting, which means a lot of night photography.
I've been solo on most of these excursions, so I guess it was just chance that I began most of this new obsession with construction sites, rather than abandoned ones. Of late, this has changed a bit, but I still love the linear elements and excitement of the new that comes with the construction sites too.
At the end of the day, I think it's the childlike adventure part that I truly love.

Not sure if I had posted in this when I joined, but it's been over a year since I had signed up. Wizard, from North Texas, got into UE from a halloween night of trying to find a spooky spot to explore. Self taught 35mm photographer.
