Hello!
Not exactly new here but it's been a long time since I've been around. My old profile didn't quite jive anymore so I thought a nice restart was necessary. But, it's been a few years.
So hey, nice to be back after some life changes I can finally start getting back into exploring.
I live in Mass but I frequent NH quite a bit. Trying to get my friends to join me so I can get the courage to explore more (because honestly, I'm a huge wuss alone).
So hi, hope to learn a lot and maybe make some friends as well.

Hi there!
I am Kathleen, a 28 year old gal who is new here and always had an interest for urban exploration. I am utterly curious and, being an interior designer, I love to see structures and awesome architecture, even in an advanced state of decay. They have so much histories -and mysteries too-. Plus, some really interesting discoveries can happen, from what I have seen so far by looking at the -outstanding- pictures.
I hope to start "urbexing" soon (therefore contributing even more on here)!
So yeah, that is pretty much it =P

Hello every one, I am new to this group but not to this hobby. I explored before it was called urban exploring. In 2008 I had a life changing surgery and got back into exploring since I was able to drive after not able to do so for ten years. A lot has changed with security since 9/11 and all the other things happening in todays society but that dose not stop me from doing what I enjoy.
Today I explore for the chance to captures places before they are gone rather then bragging rights like I did in the past.
I hope to get out of Missouri and explore other states.

Hi, My names is Brian and I am a wedding product and portrait photographer by trade. I've been exploring for about 7 years now and I can;t ever seem to get enough. There is something very whimsical and nostalgic about urbex for me. Darting through the nooks and carneys of americas great industrial past gives me magnificent joy.
I follow the rules very closely- Am careful to leave no trace and take only photos. Shitty tagging irritates the fuck out of my but I can appreciate a nice piece of graffiti art. I do not break- but i do bend and pry.
I started out in the mid-west and now live in New Orleans. Always looking for others to explore with.
- My first urbex was the Packard factory in Detroit. 2 hours of splendor and glory- followed by 5 weeks of misery. My car was stolen with all my wedding equipment in it and computer/ hard drives. I got it all back- for $250 - good karma will get you a long way- My car on the hand...that was a different journey.

Hello fellow explorers! 
I'm Victoria, I've been (silently) exploring since I was a teenager. My first experience was in an old abandoned house on a hill in a cemetery near my house when I took up photography back when I was about 14-15. Since then, I've had the pleasure of exploring several locations across Ontario and in Quebec, Canada. Some found thanks to online forums and others I found on random excursions, often not even looking out for them! Photography is my hobby and I work at Nikon as my day job.

Welcome man. I do a lot of traveling for exploring. If I am ever in NOLA I'll hit you up. I fucking love that city. Spent 7 years there growing up. Hope you are doing some good exploring man. Lots to see there.

I don't know why it's taken 7 years for me to make a post!
I live in Houston, TX and have been exploring for about 8 years. The first place I ever explored was an abandoned asylum in San Antonio. My heart was in my throat the entire time, but it was a great experience. We went back several times over the years to explore and hang out. A couple years ago, the asylum was made into a police training facility and fenced off to the public so I don't think I'll ever make it back!
I'm interested in finding like-minded people in the Houston area and finding new places to explore. I am just getting into photography so I would love to get out and photograph some of the urban decay and abandoned infrastructure our huge metropolis has to offer.
If any of yall are in the area, please let me know!

I enjoy exploring the abandoned buildings because each one has its story and you get to find out. I travel around DFW and have found a lot of place that aren't even on the site, I hope to contribute in the long run.

Greetings,
I am in Milwaukee/Waukesha WI area. Grew up in Waukesha and spent a LOT of time as a kid doing this sort of stuff. I would hop on my old Dyno BMX bike with a backpack with comics, books, and snacks. Ride on/off road to one of the many abandoned places I found as a kid in the Waukesha area. The Fox Run area was full of these relics. Find a "clean" decently lit area. And then read Mad Magazine, comic books, or novels. I explored dozens of buildings and even sewer tunnels as a kid.
Went to MSOE and had fun with the C building. Lived in the RWJ dorms for a couple years. Loved "wall walking" where I would walk up the wall of the C building by wedging myself between that and the concrete from the parking lot next to it. Sneak into the C building when I could to get away from people, and explore. It was an awesome place to look at the insides of.
To help pay for college I worked for a construction company that renovated a lot of old buildings. This allowed me to legally and easily access this stuff and even get history/etc from some of the owners. Worked on several bootlegger houses. It was great. Some of those bootlegger houses had very intricate secret doors, stairs, etc. One of my favorite houses the front stairs outside had a pin. If you pulled it you could move the stairs aside and enter a secret basement. Inside there was a secret passage where you used a sewing needle to unlock the door. Built in hidden shelves in the walls and more. Restoring these houses was an honor and a privilege.
*fast forward a few years of working too much and school*
Got out of school, worked too much to pay student loans. More time spent on home improvements/etc al. Too busy for exploring for a while. Miss it, but have great memories of the construction jobs I worked on.
*fast forward a couple overworked, overstressed years*
Flipped a car on the expressway when I was t-boned, shoulder surgery, etc etc etc. More free-time, but issues with mobility. In process of healing and getting to the point of being able to do this stuff again... Even while wearing leg braces... But in the 10 years off of this 95% of the places I used to explore are either torn down, boarded up and near impenetrable, rife with security cameras due to vandals/bad explorers/etc, or are now being converted to condos...
So, now I am looking for a respectful community of people that believe in leaving the place in the same or better condition than they found it in. I have cleaned up drug paraphernalia/broken bottles/etc from some of these sites in the past. As my belief is treat these places as if you were an invited guest. You wouldn't rob, vandalise, ransack, etc your friend's house, so why do that to these majestic relics?
Oh well, enough about me. You get the idea.

My name is Kirito, I live in a major town in Ontario. I love jazz, big band music... I used to live in a house that was classified as abandoned on another site (they tore it down not long ago). I've fallen in love with the idea of being a modern day explorer, I hope to get a chance soon. Yes, that is a picture of me as my avatar. I chose the name Kirito from Sword Art Online (1 and 2). I hope I didn't ramble too much.

What's up guys, name's Sam! I'm in the West Coast at the moment, but live in the East Coast, and really love urban climbing. Lot of people tell me the best way to find places to climb is to just drive around but from where I'm from, that kind of stuff is hard to come by for whatever reason. Driving to other areas is far and gas money isn't any cheaper. Usually I find myself climbing up rooftops at night but even that is hard to come by lately due to security. Got into urban climbing first with radio towers but soon realized I wanted children, so that ship sailed. Any advice for me guys? Pretty cool being a part of this forum though, glad to be a part of it.

Hello everyone!
My name is Derek and I've been checking out this site for about two years without posting much. It's been pretty tough for me to relate to most of the city-dwellers on here since I grew up in a town of 2000 people, but my friends and I made the most of it. We explored the rooftops of nearly every non residential building in our town and spent countless hours driving around the countryside to find abandoned farm houses.
Now I live much closer to a major city - Edmonton - so if anyone does much exploring there I would be more than willing to make the drive and meet up with some like-minded people and do some exploring!
I also love photography, although I'd consider myself to be a beginner in this field. I am hoping that my passion for exploring and my skills behind a camera can grow simultaneously.
Thank you all so much for maintaining such an awesome and unique website. I can't wait to start contributing more to it!
