Hello! I'm Stéphane, I'm 23, and I live in Ottawa, Ontario. I've been casually urban exploring since I was in high school. I've also been visiting UER on and off since then. I've recently been more serious in my exploring and have been to a few amazing places in the Ottawa area and North Bay that I'd love to share with the community.

Hi Stéphane! Welcome! We'd love to see your explores! I also admire the confidence in posting a self portrait as your intro post! Most people here shy away from showing their faces for semi-obvious reasons. Enjoy! // Sparro

Thanks! I'm starting to post things here and there now that my three day waiting period is over. And there's a reason I went with a selfie that doesn't show my face too clearly.

New member, but not new to exploring. 42 years old living in the Mid-Hudson Valley, NY. Have never broken into a place or hopped a fence, but have gone around fences and climbed through some tight spots Look forward to being an active member of the community and including some random pictures, each from a different exploration.

Hey everyone, I live by the St. cloud MN area and visit MSP often. My wife and I have been into exploring for years but it wasen't until we met an active UE that peaked our interest into doing more then hikes and abandoned buildings, unfortunately he brough us to a very unknown high security place In St. Paul and left us to find our way out on our first visit underground (hazing faze?). I am really excited to meet new people to explore with and learn about what hidden things are out there. I love history, making maps, and meeting new people! Wondering if there are lots of couples that explore together?

Hey guys! My name is Sam and I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I was casually urban exploring for a few years as a teenager but the past 2-3 years I've been going on trips based solely on exploring all around the maritimes. Always great to meet new people with similar interests and check out new places!

Hello all! My name is Sean and I'm in Montreal now. However, I grew up in Fredericton New Brunswick. I was lucky enough to live in very very old houses -- near ruins. In Fredericton, I lived in a 100+ yr old house called the "Captains House". It's foundation was so damaged that there was no mortar left between the rocks and you could stand in the basement and see the sunlight come in through them. There was a shed full of treasures in the back -- old glass jugs still full of Coca Cola syrup, store signs, half rotten boardgames from 40 years ago... The attic near my room contained furniture. One table had a metal thimble that had actually sunk into the wood after years of sitting there in its drawer. ... There was a boat house in the back full of huge rusty chains, anchors and bear traps. That said, I love the idea of exploring and finding stories -- although I don't do it myself. However, what also brings me here is that I run a podcast called Share a Slice (http://shareaslicepodcast.com). I would love to find someone who would be interested in sharing their exploring stories along with some background in the culture on the program. It can be completely confidential. I would not expect any locations to be given up -- only descriptions of interesting explorations. Finally, I am a new father as of late. This means I'm pretty much physically grounded inside looking after the baby. So I would love to "live vicariously" so to speak! - Sean

Hi there. Don't have much exploration under my belt. Have always been attracted to places and things that most people do not seem attracted to. Not a whole lot to explore in my immediate area I don't consider what I do to be urban or rural but a mix of both. I call it road exploring, pretty much sums it up, drive around and see what pops up. Don't have much spare time to devote to exploring so I doubt I will be too interesting. Lol

Looks like someone in my area knows what they're doing! If you ever want/need another body around, I'm your man. I'm in the Watertown area, but I'm willing and able to travel (up to 250 miles, unfortunately) if need be. PM me if it tickles your fancy!

Welcome to UER. Spent a lot of time reading old threads in the NE, Main and Tutorial forums... then post some interesting threads of your own. We like pictures... adding the history of a site makes it more interesting. Learn from the mistakes of other new members and try to avoid making the same mistakes. PA has lots of great industrial ruins all across it. The RR infrastructure there offers another opportunity in its self plus it is the gateway to countless sites along both active and abandoned rail lines.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Hi everyone, My name is Larry and I'm just a bit north of Boston, MA. While I'm not a "new" member, I haven't been on in a long time. Now that I've retired and started to explore I'm really hooked. I'll post a few photos of recent trips.1.
