Hey all!! I'm Cheryl, from Kentucky. I have been into urban exploring for a very long time, but didn't know there was a name for it until recently. I have a friend that joins me, we went out this last weekend and I plan to post about that adventure soon. I've always loved to travel, and I follow abandon things on facebook. I think one of my favorite things about abandoned places is the antiqueness of the place or the items.

Hey there!
My name is Merisa and I've been exploring abandoned places for the past year or so. I live in New Hampshire but I find myself going to Massachusetts quite often and my goal this summer is to extend my reach to all over New England.

Me and my boyfriend have been browsing this website for quite a while without actually taking part in the community so we figured it was time to start participating. We already have a scrapbook type thing with places we've already been too and other places we are looking forward to exploring. We are both very interested in photography and our main objective is to preserve the history of these locations.

We are looking for more people in our area to go exploring with so if you are in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire area definitely get in touch with me!

Hi! I'm new here. Located in the GTA, I'm hoping to get to explore more of Toronto this summer and to get to see the city from a different perspective (higher vantage points or the subways). Photography is a hobby that I've been trying to take up, when I have time.. Glad to be a part of the UER community.

Hello everyone,

Neophyte derelict diver here. Apart from this introductory post, my first AAR and also first actual personal exploration will be up here shortly. I live in the Washington D.C. area, and plan on traveling to other sites as I gather more information here from you helpful people. Thank you for the inspiration to finally go out and make it happen.

Pleasure to make your collective acquaintances!

Hello World
I'm Alert the furfag. I'm trash, love me!

For better or worse I'm an active member in Ontario Furries and frequent large conventions and meets. If you already know me that's really cool that you're into urban exploring, we should totally do so together. If not, say hello to me by finding the short and small lanky white beanie wearing kid at Furnal Equinox.

Apart from urban exploring (which I just got into weeks ago) I enjoy hiking, airsofting, paintballing, playing the guitar, doodling, and fascinating myself with tiny projects and constant research in regards to electronics in general. And if you ever see me exploring too, just remember I'm more scared of you than you are of me. (So feel free to say hello!)

Stay safe wanderers!

Hi everyone -

This is my first time posting even though I’ve been looking around for quite some time. I currently live in SE Wisconsin but have all over the US. I spend a lot of time on the bikes when it’s decent here.

Hello I'm new to the forum but not UE. I'm from the twin cities and have been many places here. I had an account before but am still new to forums. The way I was taught was we do not share info so this is new. I know a few known explorers and am hopeful to meet more people that share the same interest.i have attended mouser week and that was the first and only event I have attended so far and I am looking to change that. I habe one son and another on the way so exploring will be slowing down for me but never stop. Stay safe out there everyone. Look forward to meeting you all

Just boof it!!

Hello! I'm from the Seattle area and have done some urban and rural exploring in Washington and Oregon. I'm currently studying classical realism/fine art at an atelier in Seattle, and I usually sketch and take photos of the locations I go to.

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and I'm looking forward to learning more about Urban Exploring. I've always had a love for the strange, and have always loved exploring, mainly for the photography opportunities. I've never been able to set foot inside a property yet, but I'm hoping this forum will teach me if I so decide to go that route. As of right now, I just take photographs of abandoned places, or things I come across in the woods.

I'll be in class developing some film I took of some old cars. Will share when I print them! Thanks so much!

Hey everyone! My name is Mike and I'm from Central Illinois. My girlfriend and I have been looking for interesting and unique place to visit and explore. So far we have found 4 abandoned houses within a 20 mile radius of where we live, but I hope to have that list bigger by this summer. I am always open to share locations with trustworthy people and I'm always on the lookout for new locations! If there is anyone here from Central Illinois, or the surrounding area, and you would like to explore with us, just send me a PM!

Welcome to UER! I'm up north a little ways from you around the Rockford area. Where abouts are you? Welcome again, and happy hunting.

Do you happen to know where Peoria is? That's where I'm from. A few interesting sites that I want to see are up in Rockford!

Yeah I know where Peoria is. Don't get down that way very often, usually when I'm going that way I'm heading further south towards Effingham, or south western Illinois, towards vincennes IN.

Peoria doesn't have much to explore (that I am aware of) but I've found that just driving around yields the best results. Have you found much in the southern region? And how is Rockford? Would it be worth a weekend trip?

Yeah there is some stuff in Rockford. The trouble is, you might get shot in the process. Crime sucks here, thankfully I live in a small town that doesn't seem to get that kind of activity.

As far as Southern Illinois, everything is so spread out, so if your down to drive and go off the beaten path you can find some stuff. Luckily I have a guide when I go down there, that helps. Otherwise its easy to get lost, also in the one particular town in southern Illinois, Meth houses are for real, and IDK about you, but I don't want to break in on that.

I'll chime in some more on your thread in the Great Lakes forum.

Hello! I'm Kelley, I'm a photographer from Everett, WA which is just a little North of Seattle.

I joined a few years back, but life kinda got in the way, was working really crazy hours, and wasn't able to do much, but now I have a normal schedule and want to get out to seeing a lot of cool things.

I've been exploring for a while, at least 4 years if not more. I've got tons of places I want to check out, but the boyfriend isn't as obsessed with exploring as much as I am, and I usually don't want to go alone.

There are a few places I've been to around me that I keep going back to (cause they're awesome) but looking to find some more places off the beaten path and make some friends while doing that!
