Lin Seed Oil Mill Adventure
< on 12/17/2020 8:30 PM >

I highly recommend people go to Lin Seed Oil Mill if they come to Toronto. There is a beautiful area in the building that has murals on the walls, and if you make it up the roof the view is amazing hopefully I can make it up there at night one day.

The entrance is intimidating at first but once you go down it's easy and fun! I am not sure if cops changed the entrance but I am sure it is the same.

(I am so sorry if I am posting this in the wrong forum)

I forgot about this place. Never made it, but was on my shortlist the first time I ever went to Toronto.

It amazes me that this place closed in 1969.

Toronto Lin Seed Oil Mill UPDATE
<Reply # 4 on 12/18/2020 10:25 PM >

I went to look at the Linseed Oil Mill Factory later today and I saw a sign that said the location will be under construction soon (maybe in the next few days). Wanted to give a little heads up to the Toronto people.

Feel free to post any weblinks or news articles you come across about this, I am interested to hear what the project is.

Also, you should be able to see this forum as a basic member but here is the local Ontario forum - https://www.uer.ca...sp?fid=1&catid=111
just in case you haven't come across it yet.

When I went there in 2014, there was a non-smashed toilet. That thing survived 45 years in an otherwise completely thrashed (but cool) location.

Toronto Linseed Oil Mill update!
<Reply # 8 on 12/21/2020 2:11 AM >

Linseed Oil Mill is starting construction soon to be turned into a community center.

If you do go before construction starts BE CAREFUL!! The latter is not as sturdy and will move a bit.

The Linseed factory was my first abandoned building years ago, and to this day it remains my favourite. I've been there quite a few times (last time was a few months ago)

The ladder at the top was removed years ago, but there is a new entrance that is even easier to access than the old one. The place has gotten boarded up a couple times over the past few years due to the antics of stupid teenagers (I believe one of them overdosed and their friends had to call an ambulance), but to the best of my knowledge it is currently accessible.
