Hey everyone,

Firstly I want to apologize for my last post, I know I pissed a lot of people off, Hell I know what some of us "younger" explorers did was stupid, and I accept that.
However, I want to say that we all start off somewhere, I mean everyone's been stupid at some point no? Others more than some, that doesn't mean we can go around calling each other idiots and such, or comparing us to scrappers, etc... I don't believe thats necessary, we're all mature here no?

Anyways, now that thats out of the way, I want to focus on my latest explore,
This place is going to be very familiar to a lot of people, however I want to try to keep this thread public so more people can see it, that being said, I will make it private it if anyone names this place, because I don't want security coming down on my ass.
Thanks,

Alright so this place has a great history which I won't really get into here, as thats not really important, but what I can say is that this place is Beautiful, with the fall leaves still littering the ground throughout the park, it creates an atmosphere thats hard to rival.

Sorry about some of the pictures, I know that they are a little blurry, however This was one of my first night, stealthy explores and I haven't gotten the hang of manually focusing when all I see through the viewfinder is black... Any tips?

Here goes...

#1 A nice little landscape photo from the highest point in the waterpark, this one shows one of the tallest roller coasters in Canada, and possibly even the world.

#2 Another landscape photo, this one showing the mountain at the centre of the whole park, taken from the same point as the last photo.

#3 One of my favourites, I had spent many long hours in this exact chair in the past, it's really weird seeing the whole place empty and void of life.

#4 Restricted area by the massive orange coaster.

#5 Just imagine Plunging down this thing.

#6 The view from the tallest wooden roller coaster in Canada, If anyone here is familiar with it, you know how much of a backbreaker this thing is...

#7 The lift of said coaster (excuse the blurriness)

#8 The back of this coaster's (now) abandoned station.

#9 These queue's are packed on a normal day in any given summer, Quite odd seeing them completely empty.

#10 Looping part of the new attraction for 2012, Taken from the peak of the park's mountain.

#11 A Simple Panorama of International Street

#12 Looking down into the empty basin at the foot of the falls, Imagine the balls it takes for those divers to preform off those cliffs into the raging water below 5 times a day.

#13 Another view of the northeast section of the park, here you can see the whole new attraction, all 306 feet of terror.

#14 Looking out to the south, more love for nighttime landscapes

#15 Inside the mountain, Many don't know that the whole thing is completely hollow, used as a storage space, and for machinery, on some sections of the mountain (That are now completely closed) you can see right into the thing through a multitude of cracks littering the thing.

#16 Surprise, the mountain has an "eruption" room?

#17 Electrical panel for the eruption

#18 A plateau on the top of the mountain, many see this from a completely different point of view as they are zooming past.

#19 Some love for metal coasters too (sorry for blurriness)

And that's all folks, I would love to return to this place, as it is a goldmine for UE-ing, even with the active security patrols.
Unfortunately I couldn't check out most of the park, as I was severely dehydrated because I was stupid enough not to bring any water, and 3 hours of climbing roller coasters really drains you.
Sorry I don't have any shots from the top of the orange coaster, I simply didn't have it in me to climb 240ft (or more because its diagonal) to the top at 3:30 a.m. However I plan to in the future.

A warning to any potential explorers though, this place is not a cakewalk, the whole place is surrounded by brand new barbed wire fences, and I managed to really cut up my hands and ruin a nice pair of UE-ing pants in the process of leaving, just a word of caution!

Well, thats it! I hope you guys enjoyed the change of scenery from your average explore, If any mods want me to make this thread private, just say the word!

Being a former employee who worked in both the waterpark and security, It's easy to navigate around them if you know where they are ;)

Avoiding the section of the park with security buildings also helps...

Nice job. I'd think it would be one thing climbing up the coaster and a whole other thing climbing down.

I like the beams of light coming out of the building in #2.

The silence does kinda get to you though, pretty creepy with some of the Halloween props still around some places, I loved this explore, but honestly this place is so massive you need like 4-5 hours to get like half of the park covered. I want to go again sometime but also watch the sunrise and get some good photos in the "golden hour", I feel like it would be harder to sneak out though once it was light out, hmmm

If your camera has an LCD with live view then it also probably has a zoom function. Mine can do 10x zoom which helps when I can't get the focus through the viewfinder. Otherwise mark the infinity focus point on your lens (assuming your lens doesn't have one, cheaper lenses don't) and set it at that when doing wider shots when you want the background in focus.

A warning to any potential explorers though, this place is not a cakewalk, the whole place is surrounded by brand new barbed wire fences, and I managed to really cut up my hands and ruin a nice pair of UE-ing pants in the process of leaving, just a word of caution!

Get a wool blanket that's small enough to stuff in your bag and throw that over the barbed wire next time. Even though I wear older, raddy clothes when I go UEing I hate ripping them.

Great stuff though. I'd love to climb that behemoth coaster.
