| | | First post here. Hello all. This past weekend I had some extra money and took a trip to visit a site I'd neglected previously, being easy to find and knowing it to have been wrecked by vandals. I work with youth in the social services, and there has been a lot of talk among the clients lately about prison. I wanted to gain some insight into that. I haven't seen the agricultural aspect of the project documented before, and thought I would include that here. I don't understand the cross, if anyone else does (there is a small church on the site, and the placement seems ominous). What really struck me is the language found in graffiti throughout the site, slang that is still used by the youngins' today, but of a much more serious context in the institutional setting. While admission to the program was 'voluntary' (more often than not coerced) during its later years, there is a palpable feeling of despair, anger and brutal self-interest you find in people who have been through the corrections system, reflected in the scratch you find on the doors. I hope Jones is OK.

| | | Looks like there's been a lil bit of destruction since we were here last summer. That cross out in the field - cool find!

| | | If Jones really was a rat PC goof, his time here would have been very difficult and I'm sure he got what was coming to him. Nice shots btw, I loved this location.

| | | Lovely images fauxdemieux ! Certainly a perennial favourite of mine being almost around the corner from my UrbEx lair. Not much change from my trip last year. No news yet on demolition which really cannot be very far removed in the future.

| | | The sinks in pic #5 where def not there in August, surprising to see how much a place can change in a few short months. Nice find on the cross!
