See hi-res photos of Ontario Place before they tear it down, and "redevelop" it into condos.

This would be a great place to film a horror or post-Apoc. film!

The sign said "Anybody caught trespassin will be shot on sight"

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!

Nice! I am planning on doing a night-time shoot there some time before the winter, visiting all the places I grew up with. Awesome documentation of the place, vacant : )

It's not abandoned. It's not being torn down, and it's not being turned into condos. They are closing for several years to 'redevelop'.

EDIT; Where the fuck do you people get your information from.

I get my info right fucking here:

Tourism Minister Michael Chan said Wednesday the government has endorsed the 18 recommendations in last month’s report from former Progressive Conservative leader John Tory to turn the waterfront park into an all-season destination with places to live, work, shop, eat and play.

“Today is the first step to move ahead,” said Chan, who has earmarked $5.5 million to get the site ready for developers to make proposals for condos, a hotel, stores, restaurants and offices within two or three years.

Took a good long walk around a few months ago, while the actual "Amusement Park" area isn't in use, it seemed extremely active. Lot's of people walking around and working at some of the buildings.

Well, it technically is abandoned because nobody is looking after it. You can see by the photos.

They really don't know what they are going to do with it, but the idea of condos did come up.

Either way, there is nothing wrong with preserving the memories of what it once was.

I agree that photographing it as a record of history is a good idea, but I disagree with you (and many others) on the concept of "abandoned property". Just because a property is vacant or dormant, does not mean it's abandoned. In this case, "repurposed" would be more accurate in my mind.

just my 2 cents

Interesting place nonetheless

yeah I was going to say the same thing.
Many people on this site consider a property that is unoccupied and for sale as abandoned. Unoccupied and abandoned are completely different.

Wow another 'landmark' that went to shit. Wonderland is almost the same, its also going to shit. Went there couple weeks ago and went inside the theater. They replaced those seats that used to move with picnic benches!!! WTF?? Just what the city needs, more freakin condos!

Nobody said it was abandoned. Ontario Place itself is not abandoned, but the individual attractions on the park site are.
