| | | Well, I am glad that some are on the same page as me, feeling that vandals and punks are what ruins a place and makes it suck. One thing I loved to do was forcing vandals from any location I happened upon. If vandals did not break windows, these places would stand a far better chance of being spared from the wrecking ball. When windows and walls get smashed, it as you all know, creates water entry points. Once any building is deemed a health hazard, no municipality will want to deal with a cleanup expense to restore these wonderful buildings. Where is this place located? As mentioned, I have not done one bit of splorin/photography since 2006 and I am wayyyy out of the loop. Thanks!

Thank you, this is the simple explanation I for some reason couldn't think to say. If you see something you like here, take a shot--you won't get the chance again. Everything is moved, stolen, or ruined on a weekly basis. It can be cool in some ways because things can border on art installation. But it can suck because someone will grab fascinating files and find a puddle to huck them all into -_- By my first trip, the mummified cat I'd heard so much about was cut in half.
Your first trip will astound you. Your second will piss you off.

Pretty much the best way to describe this place.

At least it wasn't the building with all the patient records. I love the "Investigators are looking for the cause in this vacant Taunton school building fire" gee I wonder what caused the fire? Personally I think Bigfoot and his gnome friends did it. [last edit 9/17/2012 3:12 PM by CaptainSqueaky - edited 1 times]

| | | See, I can't decide if I was disappointed the first time I went or not. That old toolbag security guard and his "State says no pictures" BS pissed me off. Didn't see much either to be honest cause all the dorms are the same so I rather ignored them. Since you all say a second trip pisses you off, I might just pass on that. Good shots though.

Would be an amusing little venture. I did accidentally scare the living shit out of some high as balls teens at Capehart before it caught fire. It was amusing.

I saw about 10 taunton teenage derelicts taking turns on 3 crappy dirt bikes Sunday afternoon, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were responsible for it.

Interesting! Last time a building burnt someone saw a kid on a dirt bike with a can of gasoline near the building that caught fire.

I was there Thursday too and met a guy who was a scrapper, verbatim he said "I'm in the scrapping business" while walking around with a Bud Light. He also mentioned that his kids were somewhere on the property as we spoke. Recently I've noticed a lot of cars randomly parked but no one inside or around them. It wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that scrappers may bring their kids to run wild there while they scrap. That same day it sounded like a football game was going on in the laundry building towards the powerhouse. Its a good take over there.
