| | | Black Magic Pocket Rocket < on 4/12/2013 12:22 PM >
| | | This little camera looks amazing on paper! 1080HD sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range. A few people are saying that the video quality looks identical to the current Black Magic Cinema Camera EF mount. If that is true this little camera will walk all over the DSLRs. The Black Magic Pocket Cam will be using the Micro 4/3 mounts. Lets hope that it doesn't take a year+ to get out the preorders. I think this camera will be a game changer to the DSLR video world, I'm just waiting to see some footage. What do you guys think about this camera?

| | | Hmm, I need to look more into this, but on the surface it sounds like it could be pretty sweet. I love the affordable options for us indie filmmakers, but I really do wish they looked a little more professional in regards to people taking you seriously. That is my one concern. But sometimes just let the images speak for themselves.

| | | Let's hope it's not to good to be true. I was able to get my hands on the Blackmagic 2.5k camera, and if that little Blackmagic has the same dynamic range I'm sold! That would be awesome if Red did something like this, but I'm not sure my bank account would be able to handle it.

| | | Red is going to have to do something if they want a piece of this market. I looked into it more and I'm getting more and more excited for this. I definitely want to see what kind of images people will be posting using this little camera. But I'm expecting a lot. If it delivers I can only hope for a price war with Red to see who can get the lowest. But wow... I'm pumped.
Anyone planning on pre-ordering one?

| | | I'm on the fence about a pre-order still, I'm waiting to see what Canon is going to release. Plus I would have to buy some Olympus micro 4/3 lenses which are some what pricey. I might just wait and see what the camera will actually do.

| | | I pre-ordered the 4K and the Pocket, not sure i'll take the pocket yet, but given the utter travesty the previous BM had with shipping, i'd rather not having to wait two years if i decide I do want it.
