| | | If there are any out there living near this facility, it would really be cool to try and get some photos of this facility. It has been closed now for years and I read different stories as to why it was scrapped. One of the facts that was stated, the Texas ants loved to eat the wiring and it would have been hard to contain them. I have no idea if that is true or not, even if I am a Texan, rumors can start pretty easily. I was stationed not far from the location in 67, it was nothing back then but farm land, some great fishing for the weekends also. http://gizmodo.com...der-that-never-was

| | | Hey, what is this? I want to go!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Most of the reports I've seen say that it was going to cost millions if not billions more than originally expected. I'm pretty sure that ants, while extremely annoying, would not have likely caused that much extra money to be spent. Thus, the government decided to stop putting money into it.
