I looked desperately for a « hole » or maximum security cell-block but this room,with walls bare to the rock of mountain with chains attached to it was the only thing I found.I don't know if this was it,but it was really creepy.
I finished my trip with a visit to Mt. Whiteface

You can see how beautiful and detailed the chapel used to be.
And it's really in the middle of the woods.It is lost somewhere in the adirondack mountains...I had to park in the most obvious way I ever did,right in front of the gate since there is nowhere else to park.
