Gee, maybe all they needed was more tax money, except that a brief walk around revealed that pretty much the entire town was abandoned :/

How about those Civil War era cells in the basement? Pretty fuckin' spooky!
Usually there's a couple of guard pigeons in the dome. Did you go up into the clock tower, behind the clock face and check out all of the gears and shit? There's more to this place if you look in all the nooks.

"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

Yeah, I got attacked on the way up the stairs.

Even though the armory isn’t very big it was still a neat find, and was surprised at the remnants – nothing loaded of course

But NO, rats, didn’t get up the clock tower. Guess I gotta go back.

…PAexplorations, what do you think???

Wtfffff I missed the armory and the clock tower. Dammit.

I'm close. I will have to go back. Isn't the new courthouse building dorectly across from the entrance? Seemed sketch when we went in. I dont like in-town places much.

Maybe I’m too cavalier, and not that I try to be seen, but I don’t try to hide. Old guy with a camera, and nothing to hide, figure worst case they tell me to leave. As it turns out, I’ve been seen several times, and ignored.

Now, what WAS sketchy (and unnerving) – as many squatter sleeping spots I’ve seen, this was the first time I’ve come across anything of this order. There was another finished room behind me, too – quite domestic . . . for a homeless “shelter”. Turned on the flashlight and about peed myself.

Whoa, that's sorta new! There were a couple of crackhead rooms in the upper floors of the dome building but nothing of this organized nature. if you don't mind me asking, which building was this? Oh, did you get into the adjacent courthouse? How about the hotel across the street?

Course I don’t mind. This was actually in the, for lack of better words, strip mall by the post office. There’s a bank nearby, but it was sealed tight. As for the hotel, look at picture nine. I was looking all over for it, even asked around. Wasn’t till I got home and looked at the sat photos and noticed I was standing where it was.

Here's the back and front of the hotel/apartments. Right across the street from the City Hall.

This one was taken from the City Hall itself.

This is the front.

It's worth it if you can get inside. The top floor penthouse is collapsing into itself but it's still pretty stable below that floor.

Yeah, your last shot is almost the exact same angle as my second to last shot. Nothin’ left but an empty lot That would have rounded out the day quite nicely (thought about running over to the school, but wanted to beat the rain – which I didn’t do anyway).

Oh wow, that really fucking sucks.

Here's a couple of vintage postcards of the place in full-swing. The first one is the same angle as the photo I took, above.

I found this one on-line on a History of Chester site.

I found over a hundred of these in the renting office of the actual hotel the first time I... erm... "found" a way inside. If anyone wants one, PM me.

Here's my photo of that angle.
