I had taken the photos during an east coast road trip back in 2010.
The focus of the road trip had been primarily State Hospitals/Asylums.
Really, I had come to explore Kirkbrides.
Along the way we hit a few other locations, these three places in the Catskills being some of them.
During my explore I pretty much concentrated on photography but I did find time to whip out a small little video camera to shoot some footage.
Here is the footage.
Sorry for the quality, I wanted to travel light and leave the bigger camera behind. However, we all know it’s not the camera, it’s the photographer… So I really have to say, sorry for the half-ass attempt at videos from these locations. Honestly, my heart wasn’t totally into it here as these locations were more important to my traveling companions than me and, I was disappointed to find a lot more vandalism and destruction then in the photos I had seen previous to my own experience.
Fair warning. You may not want to give the eleven minutes, 24 seconds of your life to this unless you are a die-hard fan of the abandoned locations of the Catskills.
