Some recent photos of Strathmore

Hey! I'm a little new here, and I figured I'd like to share my photos of Strathmore Paper Mill. I'm not sure if it works this way, but if anyone has access to the Strathmore entry, would they be able to add me to the list of people who can view/edit the page on Strathmore? I know only Full Members are allowed to see it, but I've also seen a few members say that you can add basic members to some kind of list to see the entries? I have quite a chunk of information and photos to share with the forum. The photos I have are also a bit too large to upload on the thread posts here, I'm not sure if it's different when uploading to the database entries - maybe someone could help me out a bit. Looking forward to getting used to the site here!

First of all, I'd like to welcome you to UER. I'd like to offer you a few pieces of advice about posting here.

You're more than welcome to post pictures and information about the mill in this thread, but in the future, please don't post the real name or location of places that are abandoned.

I have seen threads that are set to private but can bee seen by Basic Members, but if there are any FM only threads for the mill, I don't think that the people who made them would let you see them, just because you just joined a few days ago.

As for the size issue, there are some image sites that allow you to resize your pictures so they aren't too big.

I don't know if there's a DB entry about the mill, but if there is, it's probably only available to Full Members. The only entries that Basic Members can see are for places that have been demolished or listed as "Public" in the database.

If you have any other questions, you can PM me.

Seek and ye shall find...

Well that's not cool >_> there's a bit of graffiti there already, but most of it's just names - unfortunately, the highest point you can get to has a big ol' Swastika on it. Wish I had some paint just to paint over it, honestly. As for the pictures, I'll upload them in a few days probably, because it seems I've lost my camera. So that's a thing to deal with, I guess.

Thanks VQ, for the advice and such.

Just testing to see if this'll work; I also thought you might like it, sleeperspirit. (Also I was wrong, it's just a Swastik. Much better. Kinda of.)

The last one here is of a Polaroid I took inside the garage area of the mill that's at the bottom of the hill. It's all cough syrup, and there's a ton more of it. Spooky. Very, very, very spooky. Once I've proven myself and waited the right amount of time, I'll post the entire story on the Strathmore page.

Alright, uploading them is gonna take way too long. Lemme know if this isn't allowed, but I'm just gonna link to the images I've uploaded.

Oh, also, flashlight tricks are fun with a tripod and a nice camera. If anyone's wondering, I'm shooting with a Pentax K-x. The pictures are all unedited, and the ones with the colors all screwy are taken with a random cross processing filter - a pretty neat feature I found by accident with the K-x.

CT has some stupid white power radicals if they can't realize the nazis made their swastikas the other way.

Here's to swimmin' with bowlegged women!

Nah man, it's mostly just kids that do this kind of thing. We all know we're white up here (No offense to anyone who isn't, I guess)

We even found a couple of young cats - they look no older than a year or two old. There was also a dead bird they were kinda stalking and playing around with. They were pretty skiddish, which sucks for taking pictures - but wicked cute nonetheless.
