Killer shots! Looks like an awesome place to slow-crawl a sixer of IPA's!

That place is huge, looks like a cool splore!

Leave it to Ed to set his priorities.

...lots of rooms for a party though, and I bet they're cheap.

That place is immense. Odd part is that they never lock it. I think they actually want people to go in and wreck the place. You can, however, find some hotel rooms that are still clean.

Wow it's really gone to shit since I was last there (fall 2011). When I was there, we ran into some construction guys while looking around the hotel. They were in the process of demo'ing the place (don't know the specific reason.) The workers didn't mind us being there, but the foremen found out about us and told us to get out.

Wasn't specifically easy to get in either. First time I've had to crawl through something to get in.

as far as I can tell none of it's been demo'd. seems like all the guys we run into have their own story about why they're there.
but yea, strange its never locked. not the gates either...
walked right in through the driveway, various holes in the chain link as well all around the perimeter.
there's a small construction truck in the parking lot now but I'm not sure what they're up to...
a trailer has been there too since the summer months.
now I want to go back!

What I find strange is this place was renovated in about 2003/04 and then abandoned in 2010. Does anyone know the story of why?

It seems that after they opened the new convention center in Manchester / the Raddison this place just continued a downwards spiral. Apparently it already wasn't known for top quality accommodations. Not that it was necessarily a horrible hotel. Just it was aged even with its renovations. Bad heating / no heating in the restaurant and took forever to get hotwater from one article I read. What I thought was sad was upon my visit there recently they had a photo album in the office of wedding memories and how happy these people were. Now to have their wedding memories / location destroyed and vandalized.

the guys who told us they were 'security' said the place was condemned because of water damage/mold. I would believe that as the water was pretty bad when I went, but these guys were obviously clearly not legit so who knows. Great spot though, I think I may try to go back soon...

I scouted this place but never ended up exploring it before I moved. It looks way more trashed than I expected it to be, but I also scouted it several years ago so that could be why.
