Dilapidated Hilliard Bridge in Cleveland < on 2/11/2014 3:08 AM >
So the other day, I was in Cleveland to celebrate my birthday with my family, and my brother and I wanted to do some exploring while I was home. We didn't have enough time to go to a factory or anything, so we just recorded another video of an old screwed up bridge near our house. Technically, it's not abandoned or anything, but it's in awful shape with chunks of concrete falling every day, so it's still a beautiful example of urban decay. These pictures were just taken with my iPhone to be used in the production of the video, so they're not that good. I also threw in a few photos that I had taken on other occasions over the years.

Yeah, Cleveland is pretty weird about keeping it's bridges open. There used to be one over the Cleveland Zoo, that was a lot higher, and in even worse shape than this one. There was so much debris falling from it, that you had to go through these steel tunnels while walking under it, and yet, it stayed open for traffic until it was demolished in 2006.
Another one downtown is at such a risk of falling that you can't drive in the outside lanes, and no trucks are allowed on it.
Te economy just can't afford to replace these bridges, but they're necessary to keep the economy going. Documenting the Dilapidated https://www.facebo...tingTheDilapidated
