Its pretty amazing how well the edge definition is retained.... I just found this on the dpreview forums and will probably use it for all my low light stuff in the future.

| | | Wow, I guess I'm just not really critical, but for the tiny difference that makes, I wouldn't bother with it. heh.

| | | Still, I'd like to see it work on a noisier image. That first one really isn't all that bad in my eyes.

| | | The first one has pretty unacceptable levels of RGB noise in the sky and in the area on the ground under the tag. Its very obvious on my monitor. That was one of the reasons for getting rid of that camera, actually. Maybe I've just got an eye for such things...

| | | Here's an especially noisy shot from my family's vacation last year. It was very dark, and when britened up, it was super grainy. [Edit: 'brightened' is the wrong word. I used the 'auto levels' tool in PS, so I guess it would be more like 'normalized'.]
I can't install this software right now, so can you run it through for meh? [last edit 5/5/2003 9:04 PM by The Dark One - edited 1 times]

| | | it does clean up lots of noise
It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf. |
