Have ridden on the roof of a train in Cambodia, but that's not unusual there.

(OT) Is it still free to drive in the first or second car?-)

I'm going to try Phnom Penh - Kampot - Sihanoukville in December, but probably not on the roof...

and crazy hobos,

You called......my ears were a little...warm!
YA......GET THE #^CK OFF MY TRAIN! I think some of those stories MAY be exaggerated, then again....maybe....

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Yeah I've got a buddy who's son has hopped the train and rode it through the tunnel to North Van but the train stops in that tunnel, and the fumes are deadly. But you know the kid does it again, not the sharpest tool. N.

really......that's why I looovvveeee my gas mask!! Someone who works on the CPR told me there is an huge intake fan halfway that blows out to the ends....but it is still not really all that good. THE SHARPEST FOOL, (tool, whatever), ALWAYS CARRIES A GAS MASK!! (You never know when one of those spontaneous riots may break out).

And then given their 'Darwin Awards '!

Sometime last year, an unfortunate dunce had a terminal encounter with a tunnel roof while surfing a New York City subway car. Darwinwards.com declined to grant an award on the grounds that subway surfing deaths are too frequent.

So, there you have it. Subway surfing is too dumb to even earn a darwin award.

Now that's pathetic. Too stupid to receive an award for being stupid!

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.

I like to walk the subway tunnels while the trains are running, it's nice to stick to the wall and see the faces of the people.
That's I dare to do.

It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear.

Lets see.....riding on top of a metal object 15+ feet off the ground moving at 30->70 mph, and not in a straight line but jostling, always jostling back and forth, with regular speed changes as it approaches crossings.... and a fall will either sprain/break/scratch the hell out of your or worse get you caught in between too big pieces of steel, one of which weighs as much as your house and the other piece designed to support that same weight????

Yeah, sounds like pure genius to me!

Jumping on the side of one's not that big a deal as song as it isn't moving that fast. Just make sure to wear a boot with a raised heel to catch the ladder. (Another horror story there....)
