They have excellent traction, ankle support, and they look hardcore. Excellent quality , 60 bucks, I got mine on sale for 45. The side zip version of the Magnum is substantially more, and these are a high quality item. I'm pleased. On the plus side, they take a polish nicely, so I wear them to work even. A little Kiwi and some elbow grease and they shine like mirrors. The only thing I would recommend is treating them with some leather lotion a couple of times. I've had Magnums that I didn't doo this too and they started cracking prematurely.
