|  | | | I stumbled upon the place today in a scenic (fast) drive in the country. It was some interesting architecture, but as for exploring the facility looked almost as boring as and RIT structure. Looked pretty tight from the outside.

| | | | It really just for sale, in still good condition and with water, power, cameras and alarms. When I worked there it was more intresting from the outside then the inside actually. The dining room and conference rooms were pretty fancy though.

| | | | A few of us went in this past week. The classrooms and offices aren't very interesting. However, the tunnels, HVAC, pumping, and other utility rooms are cool. We saw a receipt from the day before so guards are probably in there on a daily basis.

| | | | I stayed outside the building and provided reconnissance support for the last group that entered this building. There *IS* an active alarm, there *IS* security that is there on a daily basis, there *IS* a bunch of active security cameras. You have to keep an eye out for a security patrol, and listen to the scanner in case the alarm is tripped inadvertently. We maintained a constant radio contact with the UE's in the building, and pulled them out when a vehicle drove by.
That being said, it is not impossible to enter this facility. It is challenging without getting caught though. Many RIT students and random people (walking their dogs, etc) frequent the site during the day which is probably why security is there to 'warn them away' and provide some... shall we say... illusion... of a constant watch over the site.
My intention is to get in there in the very near future and check out the facility in greater detail before it is sold, security tightened or (god forbid) demolished.
