|  | | | IanK1968 and I ventured into the darkness Thursday evening (November 3rd) and headed up to northern Pickering. Here is a report of our mission...
- BROUGHAM: famous for being the eastern terminus of the inexplicably expensive 407 ETR toll freeway, Brougham is also an abandonment happening one building at a time, to make way for an airport that may never be built.

- CLAREMONT: Located along busy Durham Road 5 and Brock Road, Claremont is full of abandonments but also sports recently built luxury homes as well.

- GREENWOOD: The residents successfully had the Province alter Highway 7's alignment so their peaceful main street (6th Concession Road) could remain traffic-free. Annoying traffic "calming bumps" are also installed along that main street.

It's weird that someone like him would just get up and abandon the place all of a sudden. Unless he sold it to a developer. But it seemed according to the pictures that too much of his merchandise was left behind. I almost wonder why he would want a house in Pickering, if he was mainly based out of PEI, Nova Scotia area.
Anyone wanted to call him up at his new address and ask him for some history?
Just a suggestion...
