One day I happened to find the lock cut by someone other then myself. This was a great moment for me. I waited a long time for this. This place is very old, very destroyed and creepy.

Awesome! I was going to get in there this weekend by picking the lock. what sucks is that some idiot cut the lock which will only get the place locked down even tighter.

Isn't this the building george eastman was cremated in?

That place looked really cool from the outside. Your lucky you got to get in. Too bad it was cut though...maybe we will be lucky and they wont notice =\

That place looks gorgeous. The only part of the cemetery I've really seen is the part right around the chapel. I'll have to go back at some point and look at this place.

perhaps this is unethical... but what about replacing the lock and stashing a key nearby? THat way people wouldn't notice and we'd have access.

I dunno, if the cremetorium isn't in use anymore I don't see why that's a bad idea...

THey already locked it up again. I was going to do exactly that, get a lock so they wouldn't notice. It didn't take them long to notice because they store some stuff in there for the tours. I was lucky to have the opportunity to explore. VERY lucky. I did it all alone too. Creepy!

That crematorium link kicked major ass.

Yeah those helpers of Mt. Hope people seem to keep on top of things pretty well. I am surprised the lock on the Chapel hasnt been replaced yet.

They don't seem to do a good job at keeping things locked. Did they replace that with yet another master lock?

yes. they really don't care that much if someone goes in. I just woun't be the one who make the opening. I do watch and wait to see when the opportuinty is right. I walk my dogs there daily so I check the situation.

Nan - good eye on the lock, and great gallery! Out of curiosity, why didn't you want to check out the crawlspace? I find that the more obscure and small the passageway, the more exciting.

I was alone and though I'm pretty bold, that crawl space looked very claustrophobic to me. If I was with someone else I probably would have gone in it.
