I'm wondering if anyone knows of any places worth UE'ing around Rockingham County, New Hampshire. (Or southern NH in general, even.)

...Specifically around Plaistow, Newton, Kingston, Brentwood and surrounding areas.

Any opinions, ideas, or knowledge is appreciated.

Don't know of anything in your immediate area, but you got MA hospitals to the south, bunkers on the coast, lots of shuttered manufacturing around Claremont, and up in Concord there's a sweet train yard.

There is a cool mill in Lincoln, NH which has a nature trail around it. In Bethlehem, you can visit some abandoned grand hotels. The bunkers on the seacoast are nice, FT Stark is my favorite. It was designed to look like a ship so it has a nice artdeco feel to it. The state hospital in Concord was at one point abandoned but now houses state offices . Every town in NH has something to see, you just have to find it.

there is some ueing in NH, in Portsmouth, there is an old factory, used by sylvania until a couple of years ago, but its kinda empty now, and there are a couple of buildings in the pease tradeport, but because they were used by the government there is pretty tight security.

Ill post some pics later this week.

there are forts all on the eastern side of New Castle island, stark's my fav too, but you'll miss it if you dont know where it is . . as well as Rye (odiorne state park) . . look for the ones in the woods if the big one's been welded.

I believe there are two hotels still standing, both of them on are on main street. There is also one large abandoned house, a dam and a train station to explore. Bethlehem, Twin Mountain and Bretton Woods have a few things to see, but not of it is very big. The Mount Washington hotel has a bunch of little out buildings that are abandoned which you can access as part of the bretton woods xcountry ski area. There looks to be an interesting mill right before exit 28 on I-93, with a few mills houses and two mill buildings.

I was there today, and it is pretty far. I thought there were two large hotels standing but there is only one left.

I don't have pics or names, but if you do go up you should stop in Lincon, NH and visit the papermill. It is just a few exists before Bethlehem. The mill is in a very busy area so you will be seen but it is really beautiful. I just posted pics to the picture board. http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread.asp?fid=1&threadid=25632
