| | | but I was on the subway a couple weeks ago, as I am practically every day. heading south from sheppard on the yonge line. passing the canadian tire store between rosedale and bloor I noticed a heavy looking door in the wall on the track side of the parking garage was open. which seemed unusual, since i would have noticed something like that before. so later that day after classes, I checked it out. it wasn't that cool or interesting really, but it was just really odd. just a smallish room, with what looked like paint chips covering the floor everywhere. and some abandoned paint mixing contraptions, some shelving, old shopping carts and just a lot of junk really. and a washroom which was in better shape than i thought it'd be considering the rest of the room. and the ere was a door in the back wall which led to a room or hallway that was completely filled with what looked like the ceiling caved in. the paint chips ont he floor were pretty treaded down in certain areas...it basically looked like a bum had busted it open recently and been sleeping there. thought the door did look like it had been heavily secured. I didn't have my camera, but pictures wouldn't have been too interesting anyways. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this place and/or checked it out too. i can't search the ldb cause i'm still a basic member. so I don't know. but if anyone thinks it should be there I'll add it. it was just obscure. why was there an abandoned room in the canadian tire parking garage? what were they using it for? why did they need such an obscure location to store paint stuff? looks like they've closed it back up though a couple days after i was in. i havent gone by for any closer look though, other than watching it go by from the subway.

| | | That room was probably a little storage house at one point. As for the paint chips and general construction junk; there was construction in that area a while ago regarding the facelift for the Canadian Tire, i'm guessing that the paint was probably from the construction. Probably the construction workers left it behind and Canadian Tire never cleaned up the place. Nice find though, if you could get some pictures.

| | | Yeah, rooms like that always make me laugh, especially at airports. You see the whole airport renovated to a high degree of class, then when travelling during "off" hours you see the janitor open his closet and the thing's practically caving in!
