| | | Cause then people will be living there as opposed to the woodland creatures that flourish in the burned remains of condos. Yes, they are crazy, but they are also paranoid, which means you can learn things from (some parts of) the book. Like how to get in places (ungracefully), or, youknow, burn down billboards.

| | | It was hidden in the grass? You ran into it? Storytime, if you would be so kind.

| | | It was on the other side of a high barbed wire fence hidden (enough) in high untrimmed grass and leaves. Here's a pic I took there a while after I got caught up in it: [last edit 12/9/2005 10:30 PM by Glass - edited 1 times]

Could you make the picture any smaller, I almost could see it... That sounds like a place I went to in Minnee....

| | | Here's the thing about razor wire that I didn't see mentioned yet. For the most part it is there to keep people in (enless it is used by military then it is probably to keep you out) That means its offset (Its going to hang over the inside edge of the fence rather than directly on top of the fence) If you car climbing into the place, you can climb the fence and jump over the shit, but if you are climbing out of the place, you'll have to actually go though the shit. Much harder to leave. Now where I work we got the relay nasty shit. Double stranded razor wire. We got one strand thats 2 foot coils that runs offset the top of the fence, then we got a second strand thats 1 foot coils that sits just under the top strand. Thats the inside fence, In between the fences we've got a 3 foot coil that sits on the ground! Then on the perimeter fence we got the same setup as we do on the inside fence. (that fence also has shake sensors) Its pretty nasty shit to get caught up in. I've seen pictures off offender that had to be cut out of it. Not a pretty site. Oh, I should mention, the stuff is also designed so that when you cut it, it springs back. You have to clamp both sides to the fence before you cut the strand.

| | | I would stay the fuck away from constantine wire if you can. One of my buddies on my basic soldier qualification course got cought up in in and all the skin on one of his legs was torn off (or close to it). Not good stuff.

| | | Razor Wire is some of the nastiest shit I have seen while exploring, I thankfully only had the misfortune of running into some once, in a semi-abandoned factory near Toronto, for some reason in one of the rooms there was wire strewn about to block the room I was hoping to get into. Needless to say I decided not to traverse it, weirdest bit was that a week later when I went back it had all disappeared. Weird, weird stuff.
