New England Newbie

Hi all! I'm new to this but, thanks to a friend, i've caught the bug. Last night was my first time out. We explored one of the abandoned schools in Pease AFB. My question to y'all is: Where are there some good places around for a newbie to check out?
Thanks!

The Enchanted Forest and Rocky Point to name a few

decently easy to get into, and not that dangerous

Watch out for the cop that sits at Rocky Point most of the day...

...Pease AFB.

Lemme stab... the big NH? Yay, another Granite Stater!

If you're in that area, I'll suggest the various seacoast fortifications. They're much less profile than the asylums, nearly all are legal to enter or at least approach, and there's gads of info on them just a Google away. They're easier going in the winter too, except of course for the ones on unconnected islands. Also, the farther north of Manchester you go, the more the settled areas will show signs of dilapidation and abandonment (e.g. Claremont, Bethlehem, Concord, Berlin, to various degrees), as a recent roadtrip showed me.

Hey, that's great! Thanks everyone. I live in Good ole' ManchVegas, NH. Too bad most of the mills and factories around here have been bought up and redone as condos...

It's Manch Hatten. *** There are no illicit casinos being run in the back rooms fo the city's laundromats hence the name "Manch Vegas". Nope. None. ***

That said, you ever seen the place near the college, near Sundial Ave? I've been eyeing that one for a while, and judging by the graf on the top, others have gotten in before.

Dude! We tried that factory first, but were swayed by LOTS of COLD water, LOL... We're going back soon for a day of scouting before a night mission. Any tips about it? Security, etc? PM me any specifics!

Any word on the demolition on Franklin Furniture? I noticed they have begun pulling panels from the front.

Yes, I too have been eyeballing that place for a few weeks after seeing the new graf. I swung by there tonight and was quite surprised to see lights on in the bottom floor east side. The place was wrapped up pretty tight in barbed wire too.
One of these days I'll take a closer look.
How about that large, abandoned, city-owned "manufacturing facility" next door, north of the QCB. Probably still alarmed, but I've been curious.
By the way, Xav, those are just "coffee houses" in the back of the laundromats.

Aw, crap. What about those brick buildings down near Beech and Maple, like south of Valley St, sorta? There's some big silo tank things and it's near the DOT storage place there.

I was also going to suggest the Pandora Mill building that was due to be remodeled until it got torched. I'd mention all the riverfront mill buildings with all the busted windows but I'm pretty sure most of those are used in some way despite their appearance.

N QCB? Never looked that way... except for that photo I took this summer of that red and green building reflected in the Merrimack.

*SMACK!* Coffee houses... Right, it all makes sense now! When I saw people pulling the levers on those machines, they weren't spilling out quarters, but French Hazelnut Robusto beans! A simple misunderstanding!

Well, like you said, someone must have been in there to tag the roof. About the silos, are you talking about an oil company? I think I read somewhere about an oil co. painting some tanks over there recently.
Great mental picture of the coffee beans!

All i know is by next summer that whole area is supposed to be condos or apartments (it's all the same to me). I haven't been by there in a while, the franklin cops really don't like me too much.
