|  | | | There's a bunch of stories about this place on Bloomfield Ave. About how priests used to practice witch craft on the top floor and sacraficed people etc.
It's a creepy looking building with wide open fields all around it. A few rooms are still occupied by priests, and some are dorms for the University Of Hartford. However, at the end of the hallway where the dorms are located theres a double door that leads to a new wing that is completly unoccupied. It is a hall thats extremly long with single bedroom on both sides. each is identical with made beds and dressers in the exact same order. that alone is creepy in itself. Last year a couple people slept in some of the rooms close to this long hall while they worked for Americorps. However after walking down this creepy hallway you can find a door which is heavuly bolted up that leads to an entire other floor. not just an attic but a floor. You can see the full sized row of windows on the outside, however theres no getting through this door where supposidly is where these priests did those acts.
Beyond all this in the back of the parking lot theres a building which is still is somewhat of use. The top floor has a basketball court which is sometimes used, but if you go to the first level of teh basement you'll find abandoned locker rooms that lead to an open room with a large area fenced in the middle of the room with boards covering it sso you cant see... what would posses someone to fence something up in the middle of a room??? through a few doors theres abandonded bathrooms and one door leads to a hallway where theres a double door with broken windows so you can easily unlock the doors (if you dare) that lead really far down to a second layer of the basement.
Now I've never been down to the second layer of the basement, since we didnt have much lighting or time on our hands, but I started to get pritty scared it looked pritty trashed down there from what i saw.
About security, UofH Public Safety is a bunch of morons and dont give 2 shits about this part of campus (north campus). About once or twice a week one car will patroll the parking lot but noot do a thing.
To get into the main building wait for a student to let you in, since its Card Swipe activated. You'll have to follow them up the stairs since you need to get into the second card swipe door too.
To get into the second building with the gym, sometimes its locked, sometimes it's not, just try your luck.
