| | | A few new Ontario locations < on 1/8/2006 5:53 PM >
| | | Here are a few new locations IanK1968 and I found while driving around the northen GTA this weekend. Ever been to Ballantrae? Here's a few of the remaining original houses. The rest of this town is freshly built cookie-cutter homes that cost in the $300-500K range. Lots of gated communities abound up here... Ballantrae house #1 http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=24035 Ballantrae house #2 http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=24036 We came across this house on our trip back to Toronto. The roof had collapsed and taken the floors below it as well. We were going to crawl through this window but could not find a floor to stand on...
Then we discovered the Aurora Model Aircraft Club. The house was ready to be moved to a new location. The sign said "vistors welcome". We'll return to check it out since we are "welcome" to go inside.

| | | I moved to Ballantrae in 1978 when I was 7 and lived there for nine and a half years. I can remember when there wasn't much there and as the years passed farmers fields turned into subdivisions.

(left to right) 1. Pickering house, 2. same Pickering house, backyard, 3. different Pickering house, 4. Bowmanville house. All are locked extremely tight, as tight as something locked very tight. [last edit 1/9/2006 2:08 AM by fedge - edited 1 times]

Hehe...I don't know much about KOD but I guess they're starting on the ground level. Next stop, defacing trees in a park (when nobody's looking).

You're right - I made a BIG typo. That's actually Warden Avenue. Up north though...

| | | I poked around that First Aurora house a few months ago, the collapsed floor is crazy, and you can access the basement still if you're brave. Overall not much to see though. It's easily accessible, but hidden behind trees if you're driving by on Leslie. Mainframe
