Go to www.mississauga.ca and select "residents". Then, either select "library" or "historic images gallery" and see tons of pictures and info on all kinds of places. There are many galleries to choose from, cemeteries, heritage buildings, you have to explore the site and see everything it has to offer. Really worthwhile. I recognized tons of houses I always wondered about. Many are now demolished. It also tells if the places are protected for historical preservation, or if no decision has been made by the city. I highly recommend these galleries- buildings, cemeteries, and heritage designated properties. You will be surprised!!! In most of my DB entries for historical buildings such as the Milton Town Hall, I include a 'Historical' gallery, the Halton image search is where I get the photos from.
