The Bunk Badge
| | Help with Northampton < on 8/16/2006 2:54 PM >
| | | I got hooked on UE while being a guard at Danvers, and now I have expanded on things by doing photography inside the Asylums with model. Well, this model found me, and she lives out near Northampton and wants to do a shoot in there. I've never been. Can anyone offer any hints, advice, etc about getting in there, what is there to see/photograph. This is kind of tough for me because I knew Danvers and the Met inside and out and knew great places with natural light and good props to work with. I've been doing goth/ghostly/patient experience type shoots. Any info would help me a lot. Thanks!!!

| | | A guard whose job it usually is to bust people doing this sort of thing, lurking for 3 months, and then asking for entry info? Sound a bit suspicious anyone? [edit] my grammar made no sense [last edit 8/16/2006 6:41 PM by Brind - edited 1 times]

| | | Go over there, around the corner, turn around three times, and then click your heels together three times. That should work about as well as your posting.

| | | No problem! Just be real, real quiet like you been here for the last three months. When ingressing make sure to click your combat boot heels softly as not to draw attention to yourself. Your so there!

| | | Yes, how ridiculous! I'll play along, though, I'll tell you the exact same thing I've told other explorers who talk about going to Northampton now: don't bother. Northampton is donezo...RIP.

| | | I will be up that way in 2 weeks, we should hit the place – PM me I know the score. Post some pics of your work. Who are the models anyway? It’s not an ideal place to travel with young ladies, IMHO.

| | | Hey lighten up guys, I'm sure bunk badge is probably legit. I suggest you park right in the lot by the old nurses quarters. The new residents don't mind- or the turn around near the elevated walkway. If you want to try undercover, try parking in the used car lot/garage across the street. The owner doesn't really mind. Across the street at the Memorial complex is ok too, the NOHO cops are a backward bunch who usually assume you are walking your dog in the Smith field when you park there.
If you have done things right people won't be sure if you have done anything at all. |

| | | Bunk, I can't help you with NoHo at all, but how about sharing some stories as a guard at DSH. You have to have at least one good story. Ever bust any UE'ers?

| | | Ihave never busted anyone. As a matter of fact, some people on here stopped by at Waltham last night laughing with me about my post. My favorite Danvers story was the radio on the timer hooked into the speakers of the gym/auditorium. That fucking rocked. As far as my work, you can check it out on model mayhem, here is my link: http://www.modelma...mber.php?id=189236 I totally understand everyones sketched-out-idness about this, but I assure you I am the last fucker you have to worry about. I'm sure some people who hae been on here for a while will back me up on this sooner or later.

As far as my work,
|
I'd say that some of your work is definitely among the better model-in-abandonment themed photography I've seen. ...Except for the girl with the painted on bricks. Better body painting would have improved that picture alot.
