Yes, thank you Mark for the PMs you sent me. I don't have the swiss ball, but I have sort of developed out exercises with stuff readily available around the house, based off the ones you mentioned, and I think I will get a pass to the YMCA. The one here in Downtown Minneapolis has a large indoor pool where I can exercise my leg and look out the skylight at the skyline of Minneapolis. This has been a rather informative topic.

I plucked this from another guy. Should be good for all you back pain people

There are several stretches you can do lying down that can loosen the back and hips area.

These work for me and helped me to get over some chronic S.I. joint pain. I did them morning and evening, only takes 5 mins.

Knee press - Lie on you back, pull a knee to your chest, hold and breath, do for each leg
Hip rolls - lie on your back, feet flat on floor so the legs make a triangle and roll the knees to the side together maintaining the triangle shape, breath and hold.
Lying spinal twist - lie on your back as above but dont make a triangle with the legs but have the the knees bent @ 90 degrees so the feet are facing the wall. Roll the knees as far as they can go to the side keeping the l-shape with the legs, breath and hold.
Cobra - lie on belly, hands under shoulders and press up keeping pelvis on the floor so you are arching back, breath and hold.
