| | | ok, so im new to this, and ive never actually wandered around an abandoned building (unless you count some derelict house me and my friends used to play in as kids), but i need some advice im a model/photographer and ive been wanting to do an art shoot in an abandoned building for quite some time but of course its easier said than done for a start, theres none that i know of around here (widnes, by liverpool) and id imagine that there are even more safty issues concerned with a photoshoot rather than general exploration i also need a half decent photographer as i cant very well take pictures of myself without having them look a bit, well, myspace i suppose its just something i want to do, i have loads of ideas for that kind of setting, preferably a hospital or asylum style any help from anyone would be appreciated =)

| | | Have you ever checked out modelmayhem.com? My girlfriend is a photographer, and finds most of her models through that site. For a real shoot, abandoned places can be rather difficult. It's easy to go in with just a camera and a flash, but the flash will give your location away very easily. If you want to do a proper shoot with a full lighting kit and everything, permission is usually required. The only other alternative is finding a location that is way the fuck out in the middle of nowhere so nobody will notice. This is probably very ignorant question, but is Widnes in England?
