| | | Interesting that the buildings were demolished in 1999, I think I walked through most of them yesturday? Were they ghost buildings?

| | | So Capone, I guess we were both correct... The Ontario Hospital later became the Oxford Regional Centre (that explains the sign on the gate 'Ontario Hospital') however I did say...
Ontario Hospital Farm (part of the Oxford Reginal Centre)
didn't I say that

| | | I think it means the main building, the 9 story one is destroyed, not the rest of the facility, however there are a few buildings that are missing, if you noticed on the main building, it is lettered "P", and if you count all the buildings including the 9 story one, then there are quite a few that are missing.

| | | The buildings aren't listed in order, they were given names, then the first letter of the name or a symbol representing the name was placed on the building. The 9 storey main facility was only recently torn down, the site is still controlled by the demolition company. There were salvagers still removing items from the hospital as recently as this past summer.

LOL, yeah
As for the buildings, thanks for that info on the names...
There definatly are some missing though. At one point i remember coming across a site for a construction company (probably the owners of the equipment at the powerplant) showing pictures of the powerplant and the surrounding area (the part that was excavated) as well as some pictures of small demolished buildings of about the same size as the ones still remaining. Apparently they're restructuring the land and removing what they referred to as "contaminated earth" to build (if I remember correctly) a retirement community.
The buildings demolished must have been associated with the main hospital, since the Hospital Farm seems to be intact; although there are some suspicious empty spaces such as right near the entrance to the grounds
So there I was, in this creepy old hallway... |

| | | That makes sense....
Behind the Ontario Hospital (OCR) we found several ground water testing stations, signs stating 'NO ENTRY BY MOTORIZED VEHICLES' and no trespassing to be punished under ontario legislation blah, blah, blah.
Don't know the contaminents in the soil.
