The whole idea of it is to sneak up on your opponent unseen, and there are several reasons why we don't need to be able to do that:
1) We have no enemy other than guards
2) We don't want to get closer to anyone
3) The whole idea is to be further away from guards to remain unseen

Others are in it for the thrill. I am one of those. Camo is a absoulute necesity. Also unless you want to cut locks etc sometimes the only way in is by a gaurd. Sorry I just dislike your statment even if it holds true for yourself.

Think about it, how often have you hidden in bushes to evade guards? I've only ever been to, oh god, one place with a guard. The rest have just had employees or nothing at all.
I hardly ever have to evade anyone. I have no genuine use for camo, so why should I try to justify it saying some crap like "I need to be stealthy"? Some of you people seriously forget why they do UE sometimes...

|  | | | I've been to numerous places with guards. In several places, Camo and stealth have been whats gotten me in as well as back out without stopping to talk to security or RCMP. Camo and stealth have their place in certain places and regardless of anyone elses opinion otherwise, I know it to be fact from experience.

OK so sorry I'm a bit cynical, but I just find some of this stuff a bit far fetched. You people talk about guards as though you constantly come across them. It sounds more like you are talking about a computergame sometimes.

Our tightest mission, and it was all stealth that got us out of there, was Shaughnessy hospital.

and... what if the place you'd like to explore happens to be difficult ? We went to Shaughnessy because it is a closed down section of hospital that has been used for filming in a number of things (X-files and others) and we wanted to see it. We went to Riverview because we wanted to see the 2 out of service buildings and the tunnels. We went to Woodlands to see all the buildings and the tunnels. See the pattern ? We go to the places because we want to explore them. If there's security, we will find a way around that...
I don't make a secret of my enjoyment of getting into tough places, but it certainly is not the only reason. The reason I choose any target is because I want to explore it. Anything else is just the circumstances that come up.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion, I wasn't saying any of those things about O2. I was just noting his overall negative tone, and why some people would get upset by it. I enjoyed his pictures of the Biome and other things and think he generally makes some good points, just several of his post almost seem like sarcastic insults, not saying they are, just my impression, and I feel a few others get the same impression.

You see the above is what I generalized from events in this thread. Whatever, ok I have a negative tone, if you say so, but please can you just say I have a camouflaged negative tone? I mean you can at least make a tiny effort to keep us all on topic.
I do joke about a little, and these jokes are just intended to keep everyone from getting so negative they pee on a graveyard.
So I apologise if I came across as being nasty to you Asylunt. No hard feelings. I also apologise if I came across as thinking I was "better than everyone else".
