New to urbex

Hello, figured I would finally join and introduce myself. I am from Williamsport Pa and just getting into exploring different sites. Within the past week I have been to a few common and maybe not so common locations. I have been to the abandoned part of the Selinsgrove TB Center, Huber Coal Breaker, Concrete City, Centralia, Abandoned rt. 61, South Williamsport Quarry, and the Hughesville Quarry. I love going and taking photos and just climbing around seeing what others have not. I was wondering what some other popular locations are in this area. I am looking into Dixmont and the Scranton mental hospital but not sure if I will make it before I return to school.

Like Secret said, Dixmont is long gone. If you look around enough, you'll find hundreds of places.

We proved that one yesterday. It's a good time too, you can see a lot of places that would otherwise be covered by leaved trees any other time. Just take a ride and keep an eye open. It is also beneficial to hang around here for a while. You'll slowly start to see various locations through the explorations of other people on the site.

Scranton mental hospital

??

If by mental hospital you mean TB sanitarium, then I will tell you to not waste your time. There's nothing really left of the buildings- They're all collapsed or a couple months away from it.

Or if by mental hospital you mean the one that was out in Newton township, then I will also say don't bother because it was bulldozed a few years ago. All that remains are the walkways.

Hope this is informative.

And welcome to the site.

So? At least they didn't lie so he would go there and find out there isn't anything there.

What are you trying to say, I'm crazy?
When I went to your schools, I went to your churches,
I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say I'm crazy?!

Excuse me for not being able to notice the subtle sarcasm that was apparently all through your 8 word sentence.

What are you trying to say, I'm crazy?
When I went to your schools, I went to your churches,
I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say I'm crazy?!
