Well put yokes. Not putting them back to use will leave them vulnerable to vandals and arsonists. Or another developer with the right pocket depth convincing the city to have the heritage designation removed so they can raze the buildings and put in some more of those lovely butt ugly condos or retail malls.

Better the buildings are put back to use. Much easier to generate the political will to preserve the buildings when they are actually in use and not being a safety/fire hazard or a drain on taxpayers' pockets.

The other option is to buy the property ourselves and then after securing it properly, keep it for exploring.

Gone for a while. Be back when I'm back.

It's funny, after showing some of my photography to my aunt here in Florida, she said "Wow, that reminds me of this old brick plant that used to be just off the DVP in Toronto..."

She went through it in the late 80's, she figures.
