Abandoned movie theaters

So there is an abandoned movie theater I know of that is in the center of a very active shopping center. The front door is held shut by an intimidating-looking padlock but the back doors are falling apart and only kept closed by sandbags. I keep on playing with the idea of going inside but this seems like a good way to get convicted of breaking and entering. Though I wonder, is it really B&E if I do not actually unlock a door? The center's security office is also in a very close proximity to the theater, which is another concern. What kind of security system would an abandoned indie movie theater from the '90s have? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you break something in order to make entry, it's B&E. If the doors are actually unsecured or a window is open, it's trespassing or some variant thereof. I would probably just wander in during daylight with nothing incriminating, not even a knife.

Please don't be stupid. It might piss me off so much that I have a seizure or something. I hate stupid people.

I dont know how many times this has to be reiterated--just because you dont BREAK something, doesnt mean its not B&E--check your local statutes...

If you have to move the sandbags holding the door closed to get in, it is considered breaking and entering.

Oops, I forgot that part. I am talking about my own particular town, where it clearly states forced entry as a part of the law. Your mileage may vary, and Google is your friend.

Hatches on the roof could be fun. I know at a theater I just finished for my construction job, if you are good at climbing, you could enter through the roof pretty easily.

im sick of these "im-thinking-of-exploring-but-im-not-sure-if-i-have-the-balls" threads. seriously. if the doors are held shut by sandbags, theres probably no security. just wait for your moment and do it. if you dont have the balls to UE then start a stamp collection.

Greatest way into tightly locked movie theaters.
