I was in an old house in the woods climbing the stairs and heard what sounded like foot steps overhead. Turns out it was a deer. I am pretty sure when he passed by me we were equally close to a heart attack trying to beat feet for the door. Now cows in the upstairs is just some crazy shit and I think I might have if I had seen 2 of them looking at me from up there. I live in the sticks and thought I have heard of every nutty situation that cows could get into!

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

the house was built up against a hillside with the second floor opening onto a flat yard area, the cows just walked in through the door, not up the stairs. the stairs were blocked with debris anyway. when i went outside and walked around to the other side i was amazed to see that the house was full of cows, they had gone in there to escape the cold. I bet they were going in there for years. cows are Pretty stupid, i know i grew up on a farm with allot of them.

hogs too.

Those are some crazy stories! Well I decided to go at it alone because people did know where I was going. I mean it wasn't but about 5 minutes from our house and I parked my car at a friends house who was about 5 minutes from it(walking...)

The floors gave slightly under my feet, but I felt very secure in that house. The only place that really bothered me was one room upstairs. It felt like it was leaning slightly to the side. Besides that and being rather gutted, it made for a decent exploration...

Sorry I didn't notice your thread before I would have driven over today with the day off from work. Feel free to PM if you need someone to go along, I'm not terribly far away and I'm driving around NC most days anyways.

This is the craziest house story I've ever heard.

it was kind of a pity that the house wasn't more interesting. i went back there the next summer and took a couple pics, but they are trapped on a dead laptop along with quite a few others i want back.

did i mention cows suck?
