| | New here, just saying hello! < on 10/3/2007 11:14 PM >
| | | Hey everyone, Been a 'urban explorer' since I can remember being a kid and going to abandoned houses 'haunted' we called them as kids haha. This site is awesome, glad to see there are many other people that do this kind of thing as well! Friends and I have been to locations not posted on this site that are really cool and freaky looking and perhaps I can get them to agree to put up pics. And while I'm at it, does anyone know of anything as cool as the abandoned Whitby Psychiatric Hospital used to be? What a shame that place is gone! Recently we've been more active in checking places out and could sure use some advice of any interesting places to visit. I'd be glad to share knowledge of a few other locations to some (of course, non vandals), thanks!

| | | Detroit makes Toronto and Hamilton look dull. Go there. But do that before the pile of dirt. Cause that will make everything else look like a waste of time. 1337 n1nj45!!!!!!

| | | Now, now... don't hate on Hamilton. Detroit is awesome, but that doesn't make Hamilton shite. It's also like, in this country. [last edit 10/5/2007 7:30 AM by Stewie - edited 1 times]

My friend in a band lives in Detroit suburb Livonia and some of our late night drives back to Livonia from the club on Woodward are surreal. Blocks upon blocks of abandoned buildings (especially in and around the Cass corridor).

You'd seriously love it. I'm stunned how much of the city is rotting away.

I DO love it. I have been several times before. The more time I spend there the more I love her.

Too bad you hadn't posted this last Friday - I was down by Windsor for the long weekend and would have jumped at the chance (yah, tough choice there ... explore or Thanksgiving with the inlaws ... )

Why is that, like, the most exciting thing I've heard/read all day, lol? Yeah, what's up with Detroit?! I mean, I'm assuming there isn't much of a "UE community" down there? The LDB shows only freakin' NINE entries for Detroit?! I'd think it'd be more like 90! Even the most average, boring small town around here (in southern Ontario) has at least that many locations listed. There must be SO MUCH stuff just waiting to be discovered there.
