I think that it is a wooden tugboat or tender, possibly from nearby East Boothbay. It had been intentionally sunk to serve as the breakwater for a small lobster pound, now abandoned, most likely in the thirties. It don't think it will last much longer, as it seemed to be in pretty rough shape when I checked it after the Patriot's Day storm. So, there you have it. Nothing to sell the farm over, but still not something you see every day. (And yes, I tried using the gallery tags. No go.)
