|  | | | whilst en route to my uncle's house in Kendall, NY for thanksgiving dinner we passed "Sanitarium Road." It was not very far outside Rochester and i was wondering if anyone knows if there are any old abandoned sanitariums there or if they've all been done away with. it's rare that i'm up in that area so i doubt i'd be doing exploring there, it just got me curious. any idea, people?

There is a sanitarium road in Clifton Springs NY. No abandoned sanitariums though. That is probably what your are talking about. There is still a sanitarium in Clifton Springs but it is part of the hospital complex and still in use.

Yup i was once fooled by the sign for sanitarium rd. The sanitarium was built around the sulfur springs. It is actually nowhere near sanitarium road.
