| | | Dundas St/DVP in Toronto < on 12/27/2007 5:25 AM >
| | | Does anyone recall anything about the building that sat here but has long since been demolished? It was a historical but ugly building when I was driving by in daily in the 90s. Have they built something new in this spot since the Google map pics were taken? Is the old building in the DB somewhere?

| | | That must be it. Thanks, yokes! Hard to believe it operated so efficiently then it was abandoned for over thirty years... What was the building just north of it, north of Dundas? And what was the building that sat here before the modern structure (car sales) was put in?

| | | The Wellington Destructor (similar vintage, IIRC) is STILL abandoned. I don't know the answers to your followup questions.

| | | Yeah Toronto BMW on "sunlight park drive" That project was finished in '03. I've got pictures of that site from years ago, gotta dig through the crates. But anyways for the new building, I remember when they gutted the old building. The company that designed the dealer is at
http://www.quadrangle.ca
Really no info there about it,
But this should give a little bit more info http://www.canadia...PC=&issue=09012004
Pretty much the sunlight soap factory, part of the other building, Lever brothers offices, Not much info around, There is a good amount pics on Toronto Star's archive site, pages of the past but you would need a subscription to use it or do it the old fashion way and head down to the Reference Library through the fiche haha
