The drain in your photo is known as 21 Golden Steps. It was built in the late 1940s when the Mount Pleasant Extension was put through.

The other photos are most likely from Mississauga or Brampton, judging from the surrounding landscape as well as the concrete architecture. The oblong arched tunnel is an interesting construction that I haven't seen anywhere before, but it wouldn't be considered a drain, just a road or railway culvert. It's impossible to tell whether the twin rectangular openings in the fourth photo lead to similarly brief conduits or something lengthier.

There are other substantial stretches of concrete reinforced and canalized watersheds in Etobicoke and York (Black Creek, Etobicoke Creek and Mimico Creek), as well as further west in Oakville (Wedgewood Diversion Channel) and Burlington (Rambo and Hager Creek Diversions), and in suburban Hamilton (Chedoke Creek, Red Hill Creek).

The first three shots were taken around where the 401 crosses over highway 27. There's a section of the Etobicoke Creek that runs underneath an overpass for about 500 feet or so. Short, but sweet.

Something I found in Hamilton that fits the bill. All I could say is that it was on the mountain, around Upper Ottawa. I honestly don't know the mountain at all. I think it had an inflow/outflow that is part of the Mountain Juggernaught but I can't say for sure, and Kowalski would certainly know better.

Parts of this creek had the same sloped concrete that your pictures feature. The graffiti as you can see is amazing.

Why do places like these always remind me of the motorbike vs. truck scene in Terminator 2...

I think it's Mimico Creek but either way it sure is a sweet place. It's too bad none of the drains that outfall into it are really worth checking out.

Yeah, you're right on both counts. Those little outfalls were what brought me up there in the first place and they're definitely nothing to write home about.

On the other hand, Vasectomy is just upstream from there, and includes perhaps Toronto's most awesome instance of exposed, watershed-related concrete engineering.

alrite thanks and the last picture of 21 golden steps is a picture i took in the last little while so i just decided to throw it in there. And stewie photo looks amazing.

and i dont know if this will help but in the top corner of the fourth photo there are train signals and the spot on hwy 27 and the 401 i see no train tracks from google earth so...

and the mimico one although it would fit the train tracks doesnt seem to be wide enough judging from google maps.

As soon as the snows gone im of to check out both these spots.

The fourth shot isn't from the 27/401 area as the first three, which are just upstream of these guys visible from Eglinton (mentioned by Umbra and Micro):

The fourth looks like it could be somewhere in Mississauga

The fourth one is in Mississauga around Mississauga Road and Erin Mill Parkway. When I was a kid we used to look for places to skate. This was one of them. The other three do look like the 427/Eglinton/27/401 interchange. There was a vicious semi-half pipe we used to skate there called the Meat Grinder. The transitions were horrible if you missed them you went straight into the roughest concrete surface you could imagine hence the name.
