Small Building on Hamilton Beach

Hi, This little building has always interested me. I was wondering if anyone knows anything of it and what it might be used for? My initial thought was public washrooms from long ago, but it has a chimney rising at the back which might indicate some other use. It also has a manhole cover in front of it that says Stoney Creek Water Works 1954. Here's a couple shots from last time I walked by. Thanks hope it's not to boring

Where exactly is it? It doesn't look familiar to me...

Could be a pump house. What does the manhole cap say on in front of it?

There is a bunch of houses wrapped in chain link fences at the beginning of beach blvd. near the lift bridge I noticed recently. That big green building next to the place that rents canoes.. I can grab some photos next time I'm in the area.

One is an abandoned antique shop and the other is a house. The antique shop is full of awesome stuff. The house is also vaguely interesting. The City was set to demolish it about a month ago but apparently the plans have stalled.

He's referring to the shadow in the picture.

I remember rummaging through that place years ago,the lady that ran it had a huge beehive hairdo. I'll have to try and get down there to check it out again, thanks for the heads up.

Is this building still here, if so where is it? I have never noticed it

when you are here, you wish you were there. but once you're there, it soon becomes a here, and you again wish to be there instead of here...

we will never be completely satisfied.

Yes it is still there, tho the graffiti has been painted over. Walk by it tonight for the first time this season. If anyone is interested there is a neat cemetery/memorial nearby as well as some very nice creeks and lagoons.

I still don't even recall where this is. I'm tempted to go look for it.

The building belongs to the Hamilton waterworks built in 1911... probably renoed since... There is a pipe that runs about 1.5 miles off the shore there that collects water for the city... I am still not sure if it is still in use.
