$750,000 is still probably more than I'd pay for that bland piece of shit tho. The design and spatial planning of that house was completed by someone without a hint of training, taste or sense. Not to say it wouldn't be a nice place to live, but if you know anything about architectural / interior design, you'd go nuts in that place - every ill considered room, narrow hallway and plastered-over fireplace makes it obvious that it was commissioned by some fool with more money than taste.
The listing doesn't say anything about the leaking roof, mold and complete lack of interior wiring either....maybe you could talk em down on the price :p
I wonder if they're gunna do an open house or something

You'd be surprised to see how many people have a lot of money and consider houses like this one 'elegant'. I particularly like how the agent says something along the lines that houses like this one can only be seen in movies; yeah - porn.

The Aurora house I believe are owned by developers possibly (Smart Center) and are just awaiting to be redeveloped. I made a return trip a couple of weeks ago and was amazed at all the damage that had been done recently.
I was also in the Pickering mansion a couple of years ago when it was still in great condition before the vandals and scrappers found it. It was actually still livable back then. I probably have some pics of the place, I will see if I can find them.
The little stone house in the last pics from your post is also very familiar to me I drive by it all the time but have never gone inside. It has been well boarded for years and because of its location I never bothered to check it out and it is very small too. The POE was only recently made I first noticed it over the Easter weekend when a friend and I were exploring. Actually a saw a young woman with her camera, returning to her car parked right in front of the house probably after exploring it. There probably isn't anything of much interest inside I would guess.

I saw the white stairs in the Aurora house too and there was one set of footprints on them before we got there otherwise they were very white. It took a minute to figure out why someone had done that but I figure it was probably for a photo shoot, which would be why they would have that sign up on the door as well, if it were a bigger shoot with lots of people on set.
Couldn't find the pics of the Pickering house but here is one from the Aurora house I thought was funny.
'And this one confirms that the properties are owned by Smart Centers (Walmart) as their sign can be seen from this window.

Notice in the listing that it's heated by forced air PROPANE, meaning it has no gas service. It would cost a fortune to heat the place, that's for sure. It's also butt-ugly and waaay to expensive for what it is. No wonder it's still empty.

I have been to the second floor and that is not the only thing written on the walls in that room....
I haven't even bothered to check out the other two houses in that area yet because they look well boarded from the front but maybe I should have look see before they are gone.
