| | Square One Shopping Mall. < on 1/2/2009 6:10 AM >
| | | Hey! I'm new to both the forums and UE in general. A few days ago a friend and I decided to venture into the bowels of the Square One mall in Mississauga. We started by just opening a set of doors we found that looked to lead somewhere cool. At first it was a really dirty hallway made of cement and stains everywhere, but through another door there was a very clean, very tidy office area. The actual offices themselves were locked, so we didn't enter them, but through the other door at the end of the hallway led us back to another dirty cement hallway. We thought that was pretty cool, having clean offices right between two very dirty hallways. (Sorry for quality of pictures, all I had was my cell phone.) A funny thing we found was this sign posted on a door:
We adventured further and found lots of boxes lying around, old shopping carts, etc.
There was a lot of graffiti written on the walls in permanent marker throughout the hallways, some of them saying "For a good time call xxx-xxxx", others would say that such-and-such store is the best, while another underneath would insist that a different store is better. As we progressed our courage grew, so we opened more and more doors and went through them. One of the doors led us to a huge open area, completely empty save for a few garbage bins near the end.
In this area though, hung on a fence, was this sign:
After reading that, who wouldn't want to keep going? We explored for a while more, coming across everything from athletic equipment storage rooms to cargo bays.
We decided to call it a day after deciding that we have been pretty much everywhere that someone can go without picking locks. It was my first UE trip and I must say I can't wait to try again.

| | | That 'no trespassing' sign is hilarious! If you don't already have one, you should get a small digital camera to carry on you at all times, as you never know when you might get into somewhere interesting.

| | | Very cool tour. I probably would have got lost. When I lived down in that area my husband and I actually used to get lost in the Walmart every time...not used to malls that big.
