| | | Just a heads up that the demolition will be starting at Greenwich Village. They have been talking about it for a long time, but I've recently heard that things are going to be starting as early as this month. If your in the area, check it out before its gone.

| | | I checked it out today, and was in awe at the number of buildings and how amazing this place looks! While driving down the street it is on, the security kid was walking along the inside of the fencing and stopped to watch me drive by. So I kept going and drove around to the road that goes behind it where Cockshutt Plow Company is. Cockshutt is a relatively smaller building, however the fencing creates a rather large perimeter around the property. I found two already made points of entry (into the property, not the building), one of which made me laugh because to reach the building from that one would requite a lengthy walk across an open field which is in direct view of a "busy" road and many houses. The second point of entry was much better so I decided to check it out. All of the lower windows and doors were boarded up. So I left the property and continued to check out the original destination (Greenwich). I walked around the perimeter a bit waiting to see if security would be around the particular area I was in and took some pictures from outside the fence. I came across many resealed holes in the fence, as well as one that had not yet been resealed. Without thinking, I climbed through and then ran across the plowed road and ducked into a corner. At this point I started to question my decision to enter as the buildings themselves are falling apart, and I was unfortunately by myself. So I took a couple pictures of some of the buildings from inside the fence, and then ran back out. Looking back, I am laughing at how much of a "chicken" I was, im sure I could have gone into at least one of the buildings safely, as not all of them had the roofs caving in! But I guess its better safe to be sorry, and at least now I know of a way in that doesn't seem to be frequently monitored by the security kid Cockshutt Plow Company
Greenwich Village (most of from outside the fence, a couple are from inside) As you can see I really didn't venture far into the perimeter before running back out!

when you are here, you wish you were there. but once you're there, it soon becomes a here, and you again wish to be there instead of here... we will never be completely satisfied. |

| | | Hey Axle, That part of Brantford may be old and dead, but how can you say.... "Like the rest of Brantford, the place has seen it's high times, and now it faces its final death" Brantford is one of Canada's fastest growing cities. Situated between Hamilton, Woodstock, and Waterloo Region, it is a great place to invest now. Brantford is coming back from the dead, it spent a very very long time there.
You can't be lost if you don't care where you are! |
